It’s funny how the persona 5 animation would notice this and made a full on OVA of the protagonist in first person having a date and romantic kiss with the girls you can romance. It’s also easily the best thing to come from an animated adaption that was just Okay. Especially since they happened in fun locations and every kiss is satisfying in their own ways. Hifumi’s underwater kiss is magical, Tae’s kiss just takes the implication of doing the devils tango and full on makes it canon, the park date with makoto is legit heartwarming. Haru’s kiss is super cute as you get to softly touch her floofy hair as it happens and the ice rink date with Futaba is Legit Adorable with such an adorkable kiss of her trying to take the lead as she pulls you in.

That’s not a surprise because Ann is joker’s love interest and we literally get the option to say I love you back to her. in royal when she says i love you she says it first, and she says it more than once. Joker says he wants to get married someday this causes her to blush. I don’t know but did Ann have feelings for Joker the first time she met her in the rain where he stares at her?

Why just not make for any Romance a Kiss? There are different Kisses or Angles you can think off. Heck when they can make Ovas in Persona 5 the Animation with each Girl on Valentine and a Kiss. Then they can do that too in the Games. And if its not with writing possible just give us a Button to press while a Dating scene is happening to initiate the Kiss.

Excluding her the only girls who have a crush on Joker for sure are Futaba, Haru, and Chihaya. They are the only ones which show it before. Futaba saying her heart beats around you, Haru being absolutely crushed if you friend zone her, and Chihaya asking if you like older women. No other girl does this but them. "Kasumi" also confesses so she's the most obvious into Joker. Ann nor Makoto has this. Now for anything for them Ann only really has Joker looking at her. That's it. Purely a sexual attraction from Joker to her. Never really shown the other way around. Makoto really only has two scenes. The Sojiro house and rescuing her during Futabas Palace. Btw I romance Ann as my first in P5. Then Makoto. Currently doing Haru for Royal.

Of course not.." obviously demonstrating her love for joker and she straight up says i love you to him.Ann Is the lovers arcana and has the most romantic scenes in the game, the first which uses that song only that one Time, in the end Ann Is the girl that fights for joker liberation the most and Is the most worried, saying "I wish.. he would be here with us", and finally she Is the one who welcomes joker in the end saying "okaeri" in japanese which implies a heavy romantic relationship. Compare with futaba which joker tells iwai she Is His Little sister, Haru which sadly doesn't have any romantic moments in the main storyline and you have Makoto or Ann for the original, in which ann's confidant Is by far More romantic, Ann has explictly More romantic scenes and Is the only girl the main character Is canonically infatuated with..

Ann doesn't say I love you until you've romanced her. Kasumi says it before. Most girls only say it after. Tell me how she has more romance scenes? List them. Sure some girls have more but Ann has equal to Makoto I believe. While I don't see futaba and joker together futaba clearly doesn't see joker as a brother. Now other way around sure. Also play the dancing game. Ann literally asks about you and sae. Haru is shown to have a clear crush in that game too. Ann is literally the least canon out of all lovers arcana in the game. The only thing I can say is the okaeri thing I guess. The true canon in persona to me is always friend zone all girls, but all girls would Date the mc if asked. They just don't care enough to initiate. Edit: Also Ann's isn't romantic at all during her Confidant. While Makoto isn't exactly she is definitely more as you do the Romcom trope of fake dating her. Until you romance Ann tell me any signs it's romantic. Makoto meanwhile has many flirt options during her Confidant. To me Ann is clearly the other best friend. Not a love Interest.
