something i actually learned recently is that eyes changing color is an actual thing. idk if the way it happens on the king is accurate to how it works irl, or if it can happen between those colors, but sometimes eyes can change color depending on your mood. it might be your mood when you wake up specifically that affects it; the person i heard it from wasn't super clear on that and i just didn't think to ask.

Kind of something interesting that I never see brought up anywhere. Otto, Emma, and Koji from the video game Mater National Championship technically make cameos in the Tokyo Mater tall tale short as various background characters. Most notably as Manji, Kaa Reesu, Cho, Kyandee, and Tabinu. Among many other one-off background characters in the short. I should also point out the striking similarities between Max Schnell from Cars 2 and Otto von Fassenbottom from Mater National. Both are similar touring race cars from Germany with the German flag painted across their bodies. Max Schnell's crew chief's name is Otto Bonn. Both "otto von" and "otto bonn" are subtle nods to the word "autobahn."
