And being up really high but high that's a logical fear especially if I'm on something that doesn't feel sturdy or could potentially have issues one day. Where talking about a movie and a villain that wouldn't of been in the movie masked up till the very end. So yah i will say your afraid of your shadow if you cant handle character in a mask saying a few creepy lines and throwing pumpkin bombs.

I read a rumor that in No Way Home when Aunt May stuck the serum into Norman’s neck, it was supposed to make him green like the comics but they scrapped it and simply said “it didn’t work”

@@ProphecyNimbus30904I think that the issue is that with a stiff animatronic face Willem’s performance would have to be limited to the stiff mouth movements of the animatronics whereas under the mask he’s able to perform however he wants.

@@vulturedroid7674 no the real issue is that it was too scary for children or some dumb crap so they scraped it. If you watch the full test footage of the mask there was no issues with facial expressions so it wasn't a limitation factor it was was just a scary factor. Keep in mind there parents send complaining letters to Hollywood everyday. So just like the cancel culture of today parents and teachers bread that behavior into the kids of today. Nothing but a bunch of butthurt people with nothing better to do.

@@johnjackson8327OP is referring to Defoe unmasked - if there was an animatronic mask you would never get his facial expressions when he takes it off. You can actually see his face through the mask around the mouth and eyes anyway, so he was still expressive.

I think it's fine to have an actors face covered up because they can use other ways to get across they're emotions and yeah it sucks a little that we don't get Willem face shown alot but I think his acting makes up in other ways like his body movements or his voice

Im glad it was changed. Not only does the armor look cooler, but also if he looked like that, then you wouldn't be able to see Willem Dafoe's fantastic acting performance. Dafoe is what makes this version of Green Goblin my favorite Spider-man villain.

The latex mask was very emotive, and definitely more than the metal one. Though I think reducing the metal mask to like a smaller one that only covers the upper face, then giving him the hood is a good work around

What’s cool about the metal mask is that even with a covered up face, you can still distinguish every emotion in William’s performance as his mouth and eyes are always visible Beneath the mask and you can always see his mouth make the most inhuman smiles and laughs which is a cool detail that I think most people don’t recognize

I would like to see his skin turned green with his larg pointy ears, short fangs and his eyes turned yellow with red veins or yellow glowing goggles but definitely a hood on his head like the Far From Home movie. So like I said green skin, pointy ears, short fangs and yellow eyes is all he needed because he really had the perfect face and demeanor for the character.

Well I didn't know they were going to have him morph into a Goblin. I always though that it was going to be a mask like the comics and 90s cartoon. I think a good compromise would've been the original Goblin face as a mask so we can still get Dafoes great performance when the mask was off.

Another fun fact: when the idea of Green goblin was first being created he was originally supposed to be an actual goblin that got released from an ancient tomb. But Stan Lee thought it would be more interesting for it to be a man behind a mask
