The Unlimeted material thing got changed with the last patch. now all basic resource spots (logs, scrap and cloth) refill over time too. Additionally you dont need to permanently reload the game for research parts from merchants which is nice.

I'd like to share my 2cents of Dredge Knowledge for potential Future Guides: - in Gale Cliffs you can drive through the Waterfall. This is crucial, because: - - The Serpent can't follow you, so you can easily rest and wait for it to go away. - - There's a Chest with a piece of Refined Metal. So you can upgrade your 1st Ship without paying for it or getting Dynamite to dredge for it. - - And there's also 1 of the 4 Exotic Fish for the Quest from the Traveling Merchant. Speaking of: - DO NOT catch the Exotic fish. They'll never return once caught. Why is this relevant? - - If you want to 100% the Encyclopedia (not an Achievement) you want to catch the (golden) Trophy Version of each fish. - - So you need to catch the Golden Exotics. Enter the mini-game and if there's no golden spot, exit the mini-game and click it again until the spot shows up. Can take a long time. - - It's also okay to sell the fish once you have it, as the Merchant only wants to know "where" you found it and rewards you 2 Research Parts for each one. Research Parts: - Only research the 1 Square Jet-Engine for 5 parts. - - They're more expensive but, if you receive (Hull)Damage, a big engine gets disabled, you lose up to 95% of your Total Speed. - - Whereas if a small engine dies, you'll only loose ~10kn per engine and keep very agile. Last but not least: Best Money-making: - #1) "Giant Amphipod" - [Stellar Basin, Hadal] - - Can be found Day&Night in bulk and is worth $30 each for only 2 Spaces. - #2) Crab Pots. The bigger the better. (Seriously, passive Income all the time) - - Always put your Pots close to a Fish Market for easy profit. (Except Stellar Basin. There you need to ensure being deeper then 5m to avoid "Crown of Thorns") - - Devil's Spine has the highest Crabs in "Value" but they're chunky. - - - Try "open ocean crab pots" like near your old Ship for example to catch "Scarlet Prawn". 1 Space each for at least $7. You'll always get your pots full to the max after a few days. - - - 6x5=30 Slots x $7= $210 per Pot - $35 for repair = $175 PASSIVE income every couple of days per Pot. (Books alter those numbers, these are just the base values) - - Second most valuable Pot-Spot (🤔) would be right in front of the Dock of Great Marrow. Last Tip: - If you need a specific Abnormal Variation Fish, you Bait in the appropriate Area and catch fish in it until you see the silhouette of the Fish you looking for and then use "Atrophy" as it almost always gets you an abnormal version of it as well. Bonus: The "Scarlet Prawns" or "Common Crab" are also incredible easy Bait-Trades :D That's it :) Hopefully there's something in it to help out someone :D

- When you get struck by waterspouts/the mini tornado it have a chance to give you random fish but it dont really worth the damage - unlike the normal one which move randomly, waterspouts wih red wind will directly move straight at you every few seconds, you might get struck from behind if you ignore it so when you see one try to move zig-zag or keep an eye on it. +all waterspouts only appears at day - red wind/fog only appears at night, It will move towards you & increase your panic level. Turn off your light and it will dissapear - Do not go to open ocean at day with maximum panic level (red eye) because there's a chance you will get insta killed by the Leviathan. Wait until your panic level goes down at least orange or lower. - you can scare off the crows with your foghorn - discard infected fish as soon as possible to avoid the infection spread - multiple smaller engine is a better choice than a bigger one beceuse you will lose 95% of your speed when your only engine damaged

Interesting, the first time I played through Dredge I went to the Twisted Strand early and the roots blocked and sunk my boat multiple times. I went back after completing the Stellar Basin and the vegetation was much more agreeable. Perhaps it's different now or just my paranoia kicking in, but the difference was noticeable to me.

Roots and other dangers is more strong and appear more often when you panic rise. For example with low panic you only hear leviathan, middle panic - see it close, big panic - it chase you and if you not close to shallow - it eats you.

The stellar basin creature only glows at night in the day it’s hard to know if it noticed you unless you see the main tentacle start quickly spinning

The trouble with the fishing talisman is that it has to be equipped to rod space. It takes up too much space! Sure I can fish fast, but I had to give up my net :(

6:40 I sent the ghost ship an SOS with this method... and the thing is it actually accounted for this. Following me past the safety of the rocks of the first harbor and making a bee-line towards me no matter the distance. The SOS signal is as so, each dot represents a length of time to hold down for, blanks are waiting periods: . . . _ _ ..... ..... _ _ . . . _ _ ..... ..... [repeat and loop]

There's a fishing pole in the deluxe that has better initial % fishing speed than the normal version., no idea if the sign of ruin +5% chance in abberations helps with the base %..

2:47 whats important to note is the dogs health is indicated by him either being balled up (Unhealthy) or standing upright (Healthy), this is from feeding him constantly before taking him in, and in both instances he takes up a 1X4 slot radius as shown in this video. I constantly fed him healthy fish and he stood upright. What's more is if you take a hit, since the dog is NOT a quest item, the game sees this as an act of cruelty if he gets thrown out of your cargo hold either by your own hands, or the boats cargo hull taking damage. The dog will not be able to be retrieved in these instances.
