Did Your BMW E90 radio lose power??? Easy Fix

This is a short video describing a super simple fix when your E90x radio stopped getting power. This can happen for a few reasons but, in my case it could have been one or two reasons. 1 reason is that I was attempting to wire a back up camera to my radio one day, and forgot to disconect my battery while I was doing this setup. This may have ran my battery down a bit causing the onboard system to shut off my radio as a conservation method. Or...i could have blown a fuse while wiring something. It turned out I found that the next morning my radio was not vetting power. EVEYRHING ELSE worked fine, bit nobpower to radio at all. I tried installimg old stock radio and still no luck. So I conlcuded it was something internal in the car. What I found was that by replacing a fuse, I was able to completely fix this problem. I hope this video helps.

Omgggg you’re a life saver, I’ve been riding around with music for about 3 days after installing my new Eonon 9in head unit. Other vids were talking about a faulty bmw amp but nooooo one gave specifics as to which fuse was for the radio. Thanks a bunch, you’re the ish😁

*The Most Known Unknown* hey did you have a problem with no sound when you first installed the stereo? I recently just got the 9in as well everything worked but the audio. Now the stereo doesn’t turn on so hopefully that works.

Alejandro Ramirez Sorry for the late replay, the min I installed mine the fuse blew and I replaced it and boom problem solved. The fuse may be the problem, replace it and tell me if that solved it.

I did the same exact thing as you, I used some 12v from the aftermarket stereo for my reverse cam and it did work but only for a wile and then ended up blowing up my 10A fuse

Ay man this might be embarrassing to say but i have a e90 and it never came with an amp and my passenger side is off and im hoping this is my solution or i might have to upgrade my sound system and buy an amp and rewire everything

what happens with the seat warmer buttons when u put a double din radio in?

Yoy can either choose to remove them OR They can get shifted downward. I wanted to keep them so bought a separate kit that has spaces to put them into the cigarette lighter tray. Super convenient.
