"I don't need to reload to do it". The complaint about reloading to proc heal clip is no different than reloading to proc voltshot. Not having to reload to do apply subclass verbs is great. But like others have said, run the rocket sidearm that best suits your subclass and build.

I was referring specifically to my healing with my build. It's linked to Devour, gives max health immediately instead of a set amount, doesn't require a reload, and doesn't even have to be a weapon kill at all. It's any kill at all and I'm back to full health. I wasn't making a comparison to the damage dealing AOE potential of Indebted there.

​@@TrueVanguard That's true, but devour simply isn't able to be procced by typical legendary weapons-rather, you usually use an ability to procc it, and then that's all you're relying on for healing usually. Heal clip shines most when used on top of the healing of restoration, giving you a few ways to heal at a given time, and also just happens to procc some fragments and be beneficial to the team. Comes in handy a surprising amount in harder content-though it demands you be on solar to make the most of the perk.

This sidearm IS hype, but people are overhyping heal clip IMO. With other guns, heal clip is nice because you are already like 50-75% through your mag by the time they die so you will reload anyways, but with this gun everything dies in 1-3 shots so you force yourself to reload every 3 seconds. Assuming you're already running a solar build or prismatic with healing, I would much prefer pugilist, strategist, or field prep with incandescent.

You can 100% farm indebted kindness. Warlords Ruin is the most recently released dungeon so it's fully farmable. Only 3 chances at buried bloodline per week, maybe thats where you are getting confused.

Indebted Kindness is the better pick, however Aberrant Action synergises with Solar builds, which are by far the better sublcasses in the game, that's the main difference.

@@kaygetsbusyNot necessarily, I have a heal clip/incandescent roll that I use on Prismatic. It’s really good with the ignition artifact mod. I’ve taken it into grandmasters and it’s performed really well for me personally.

Absolutely Overhyped....This thing is miles behind 'The Call' and 'Indebted Kindness'. Its kinda fun for some up close action and explosions but as far as Rocket Sidearms go.....Aberrant Action is the worst of the 3 imo. I have 20,000+ kills with IK and 15,000+ kills with The Call so I have some experience here with this weapon frame. Its not like it sucks its just not as good as the other options unless you're going for solar synergy.

Not overhyped at all. Heal clip is an absolute S tier perk. Gun saved me multiple times on master verity challenge this week. Volt shot is better than incandescent overall I'll admit, but not always needed. Comparing it to The Call, this gun is much better. Yes they're in different slots so it doesn't matter, but saying The Call is better is just silly.

Since warlock as good as prismatic is, has been getting so many good weapons for solar and this sidearm just up the already strong stocks solar warlock has gotten. Probably don't even need heal clip but it's one of those "better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it" type of situation...and let's be real if it didn't get heal clip then I would say the weapon is overhyped but seeing as heal clip is so easy to proc it's just free healing which works well with the current Solar warlock Speakers sight build which can carry any LFG if they have at least one braincell.

Every time i use a rocket sidearm i wish i had a solar option for my titan, however since getting an Aberrant Action I've been seeing myself use my Indebted Kindness more. Voltshot feels amazing on it and while i do like incandescent on primaries, voltshots utility is amazing. There is certainly a place for Aberrant, but right jow I'd rather use Indebted or my trusty Ammit.

One thing about Aberrant Action that's been flying under everyone's radar is the effect that Field Prep has on special ammo pickups. By increasing the reserves it also increases the amount of ammo filled by bricks for a very similar impact on the ammo economy as Lead From Gold. I've been using it as my primary for a Solar Hazardous Propulsion build and it works extremely well.

I don’t enjoy using it, rather use a Adhorative, Calus Mini tool, Lunas Howl etc for my incandescent build. For solar spam, abilities are key, you can have constant up time with warlock with no need for a incandescent weapon anyway.

Then again, I have now found out that a majority of the D2 community are solo players, and of that small pool, a lot of players barely play endgame content. I'm not surprised that dungeon and raid weapons are forgotten to even exist.

When I asked my clan what gun I should go for first they all unanimously said indebted kindness and that’s after unlocking The Call. Only reason The Call is talked about more is because you get it for free doing the campaign and it’s craftable. Indebted takes a bit more effort to get gatekeeping solo players from it.

I think (but have not tested) that scorch ticks work with exotic class item HOIL regen refresh. That adds some value if it works.

I believe scorch stacks follow the general rule for debuffs. That whatever applies the debuff is what the debuff’s damage counts as. So scorch applied by abilities would be ability damage while scorch applied by incandescent is weapon damage. That’s why incandescent burns can give melee energy with pugilist or hatchling threadlings can count for damage perks.

It adds much needed survivablity to Prismatic Titans and even more to Solar Titans. Hits super hard, incandescent can create sunspots, heals you on demand- fantastic. For your build, the damage from Indebted Kindness is a bit better, but your build doesn’t lack servivability.

If you're looking for indebted kindness, it's best to just farm first encounter of warlord's ruin this week. Otherwise, Aberrant Action is a good alternative, and superior for solar builds.

Nah it’s ok. IK is my fave, ultimate utility weapon. Has enough range to mid, excellent in short and due to surrounded and arc surge perk it shreds yellows and lower level bosses. I’ve built in to Arc and can’t put it down.

HOT TAKE: indebted kindness is better than the call and abberant action combined voltshot is better more consistent damage. it clears rooms on its own where as heal clip inc requires several things to line up or happen to clear a room or just to heal. no reason to heal if everything is dead.

Generally most arc weapons do well on all subclasses, synergising the best with arc, however I find that a majority of solar weaponry in Destiny 2 best works with Solar. With some exceptions like sunshot which is technically just a generalist weapon. The radiolara pools do in fact proc similarly to how incandescent activates subsistence. Get a few kills and the radiolara can do tremendous work for you. Only flaw is the pools themselves don't do mega damage. Anyway, I am just randomly watching videos while playing games and thought to make a random comment on my personal thoughts, toodles and try it out if you wanna

It’s good IF you’re building into solar. Otherwise the other 2 are hands down better. Incandescent NEEDS solar synergy to be viable in the vast majority of content just due to how spread apart enemies spawn. Heal Clip is good, but it’s not ground breaking. It really shines with Benevolence. The Call having access to Demo in the 3rd column with OFA in the fourth makes it the best damage Rocket sidearm. For ad-clear, Voltshot on Indebted Kindness is significantly stronger. And it has perks just as viable for roam content (Lead from Gold, Impulse Amp, etc) Action really needs that Solar synergy to flourish. It’s 100% worth a pickup for that reason, but it’s not the general play monster people have been making it out to be.

I agree that it’s probably the lesser of the 3 sidearms. But it’s still great. I am a Titan main so I really wanted it to run with my solar/prismatic builds. I had 99 engrams so I got mine immediately on reset. I got the materials from last season to burn so I got the pulse too and I would say yes go get it. Bungie prefers pulse rifles to scouts so it’s basically the pulse version of the Tarnished Mettle.

Warlords is farm able for artifice, weopons, and normal armor until they put out a new dungeon. Indebted Kindness is much better just because it gets lead from gold. Bungie gave us just enough to be happy with a solar side arm. Indebted is the best of all rocket sidearms.

Healclip is what makes it click nicely into every build that exists - it simply chunks, clears and it sustains. Lot of weapons are super strong but Aberrant does everything you need. Have fun with it before Rocket pistols get nerfed.

Only the featured dungeon of the week is farmable. The newest dungeon is also always farmable I believe but you won't get multiple chances of the exotic weapon

I love it. I was waiting for this baby to be available to complete a Prismatic Hunter build I had made. Using Lucky Pants with a 140 Handcannon that has Vorpal, Aberrant Action with Incandescent when Out of Luck timer is up, and Dragonsbreath to synergize with my Handcannon. The reason I use a 140 over a 180 is just for the stopping power. Certainly not optimal dps but when I do need boss damage, I just switch to my Celestial Still Hunt build anyway :)

I disagree with incandescent being the only s tier roll. I think golden tricorn is also up there. The extra damage paired with the titan rocket exotic chest piece for even more extra damage can't be ignored.

It’s definitely great but I think it’s silly that KZbinrs are spending harmonizers on it. They’re your harmonizers do what you want but like, it’s not THAT big of a deal. I’m 4/5 and perfectly content using one that rolled with incandescent for a week. So was it overhyped? Absolutely.

What else do they have to use them on? They tend to end up with all the patterns for everything anyway, or do not care about the ones they don’t have. Throw in the need to cover certain things and using some harmonizers to get a video out in a timely fashion and it makes sense.
