I so agree with you riding and training philosophy. After working with horses with bad starts and trying to 'fix' (my trainer had a big heart for the most troubled horses), those I've been able to start from day 1, were soooo much easier.

She’s super round at the trot for a youngster! You can tell she’s trying to carry herself and you well! Back is up and good even steps! Keep that training up!

You mention the winderen bit, which I’m definitely considering starting my boy in (he’s 3 next summer) but wondered what bridle she has on too? Is it horsemanship saddlery? Or maybe Dyon? It looks lovely! Especially around the ears.

I'm in the same position with my 3yo! hacked over the summer and turned away until spring. I really think this is so important for young horses to be turned away, they enjoy the work we give them but also they need that time to process what they work under saddle. I think it makes them 10 times better when they come back. into work.
