Please don’t apologize for being emotional about your Momma’s handprint. After my momma passed, I came across a Bible verse she had written down to help her during the rough days of kidney cancer and early Alzheimer’s, we cherish that note. I made a copy and enlarged it then embroidered it for each of my siblings to frame, make a pillow, etc. The handprint in your office is a great idea.

I saw this quote ... “my moms taught me everything..except how to live without her”. I feel like as I was growing up I just knew I’d have my family forever. I didn’t digest that the day will come where they aren’t just a call, ride or plane ride away... when I lost my Grandmom I realized life was nothing that I thought it to be. It was a hard dose of reality.

I lost my mom in January of 1988. When we were burying her, as the minister read out the verse about Jesus going to prepare you a place, I started hearing this loud buzzing around the flowers near the grave. My mom used to keep bees. This is January and you don't have bees around. But what is a beehive if not a house of many mansions? Someone was playing me . . . .

Jessica, what you said about your mom, touched me deep in my heart. My mom is in a long term care facility with dementia. While we're allowed to visit, touching, holding hands, hugs and kisses are to be avoided. But every time I visit mom, she holds my hand, and I'm ok with that; it's my mom, after all. Your mother impressed her values into you, and now you're impressing your values into your children. Mothers are amazing. God bless. ❤

The hand prints in the cement are such a great thing to do. In 1995 my sister and her husband opened up a small business and they put my twin niece's handprints just outside of where the front door was going to be. 26 years later I can still go there and see those sweet little handprints and it melts my heart because those little girls are 33 now!

Mom's are (or in my case was )our biggest cheerleader and next to husband greatest support. Cherish this time and every moment you have with her. There are times I wish I could call my mom up just to talk. But she is in heaven now. So I keep on going knowing I will see her again in time. I am so happy for you as you make this dream take wings. Laying out the blanket squares is a great thing to do. In the future you can sew the blocks together and around the outer border a half inch in from where you want the fringe to stop. Then cut just the quilt/blanket top edges in one fell swoop stopping that half inch away from where you sewed the border around. Example: you want a four inch fringe so you would sew in four and a half inches in from the edge of the fabric. That's what I do when doing a blanket if it's going to have a fringe. I felt upset when you cried at the prospect of your mom going back to Arizona. Please know she is always with you no matter what. Hugs.

I see that you’re doing more work on property. I hope you Somers stay safe. Continue on your road on getting that Giant Gold Play Button. Btw, much love and support to you, Jess.🙏🏾💕🙏🏾

Your Mom is awesome!! Don't apologize for being emotional about your mom, she is a huge part of your life and just thinking about not seeing her on a regular basis would put anyone in tears. I can't imagine not being able to see mine whenever I want! I am extremely thankful for my Mom!! Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us!!! That was cool putting your hand prints in the concrete and including us in it was really thoughtful and special too!! You guys are awesome!!!!

G'day from Melbourne Australia! Congrats on the concrete pour and the beginning of seeing the Happy People's warehouse coming alive. I lost my mum 20 years ago and she is still with me every day in special keepsakes ... too cool her handprint will be in the office. I cried both tears of joy and those of empathy Jessica ... be proud of your emotions as they show the depth of love you feel.

We just want to give you a big hug. Our prayers for comfort are with you when your mom goes back to Arizona. God is watching over you. As soon as we watched your video, we watched one of Joyce Meyer's sermons on KZbin. Philippians 4:13 was part of her sermon. That's why we are certain that the Lord is going to give you everything you need to get you through.

I still have my mum, thank the lord. She has been my rock for the last 25 years since my marriage failed. She has held me, supported me and my children. After losing her partner of 18 years to liver cancer and having to move back to the UK from Greece she is still supportive of all of us. I can't imagine myife without her. Treasure your mum 💖, you will never lose her love even when she is miles away. Sending love, hugs to all of you from my heart to yours. X

You're such a lovely and loving family! Glad to hear that all went well for Burt's mom. Jessica, what a beautiful tribute to honor your mom while she's still with you to see it. And it will also be a great memory for the kids when they're all grown up! I wish each and every one of you many blessings.

I totally understand you getting emotional when talking about your mom, Jessica. I cried along with you as my mom always was in my corner and always there when i was going through something. We lost our mom at 61 years old in 2002. Recently I was diagnosed with and 2 weeks later had surgery to remove the cancer. I felt God and my mom with me through it all. No apologies for being emotional are needed. You putting your mom's handprint in your office was a great idea that you will always cherish.
