I'm really sorry for your loss, I can't imagine how hard that was. I also have good memories of hearing this song when I was young. I remember sitting in the back of my Mom's black Pontiac Grand AM with the windows down in the summer and her listening to this song on the radio, singing it. She would look back at me and smile while singing every so often and seeing her smile always made me smile too. I will cherish those memories until the end of my days. My Mom is still with me but when she does pass, while extremely sad, I'll feel thankful to have the memories I do of being in her car listening to her sing what are now some of my favorite songs. Anyway, I hope you're doing well and if anything through music, while it isn't nearly the same as having him in person, he'll always be with you in your heart through the memories you hold

This song reminds me of my step dad. He took me in at 2 and raised me with my mom. He fell outside walking on ice a few years ago and is now disabled. They lost my childhood home, but they are in a nice house again. He’s in constant pain and I wish I could take it away from him. He drinks a lot for the pain because his surgery made it all worse. Most of the time I believe death would be an easier pill to swallow. I want to thank him for giving me THE best childhood.
