In this Part 1 video I wanted to share how I teach and organise a textiles technique to students at my Didsbury Art Studio classes. I share creating round, square, rectangular SUFFOLK PUFFS what materials lend themselves well to this technique, using different sizes, layers and stuffing...
It's a technique which was traditionally used for patchwork but these circular rosettes can be so unique in themselves that you can work with them in a more contemporary decorative way.

What do you work as?
After doing my Textiles degree I did my PGCE teacher training at Goldsmiths, University of London to become an Art and Design Secondary School Teacher. Currently, I work in a hospital teaching art part-time to mainly 16 -18 year olds. In addition, I teach art in my studio on Saturdays and I give textile workshops to schools. I set up this channel in April 2020 after being furloughed during lockdown but soon realised I really enjoyed designing, creating projects, filming and editing my videos....so if you'd like to support me please subscribe! Outstanding! I've learned so much from this video. Had no idea we could hem or no hem. Love the frayed one. And the double ones. Didnt realize we could put fabric or fluff in the middle. And really excited to see the sparklng pins and rhinestones in the middle. Excellent teacher and the girls were having so much fun experimenting with the many oprions available. Really enjoyed this! Saved it so I'll know in the future to try the options. ❤

Nice job girls! Looks nice on the mannequin. The multi with the bits hanging would be great in a textile seascape. The little puff piece reminds me of Dr. Seuss art. God bless.
