There's only 7 notes in a major scale before it repeats, and every chord in the key has a certain function. There's only so many combinations that sound good. The 4 chord song format is so popular because it works, and every song sounds very similar to something if you look hard enough. As a musician I'd say they sound different enough, if that's copyright infringement then copyright law has to change, because music as a whole will suffer under the copyright law suits that have been happening recently.

Dragon Ball Games are super interesting to me because of how many loving little references to the series overall they can or try to put in. The cut Piccolo statue in Super Butoden 3, the Abridged VAs being brought in to the Xenoverse games- the love for the source in these games is super strong, and I love it.

Man I had completely forgotten about Cell's voice quirks in the Budokai games! My first introduction to Cell was actually in Budokai 1 since back then they were pretty much only playing the Frieza saga on loop on Cartoon Network in the Netherlands. too late....it is pretty good, it can't be the greatest unfortunately since its creator Akira Toriyama seems to forget so much stuff about it. Glad they took a fist of the north star note early on, too many characters is bad for a show. But for example, Toriyama forgot the new series was called Dragon ball Super. Which is why the movie is called Dragonball Super Super hero. DB AF was always stupid though, cool ideas but bad story. But the guy is now in charge or dbs, so he got his universal tournament. And instead of Dragon realm they brought in the realms of the gods. So still basically the story he already told 20 years ago

A fun thing to note about Heroes, some of the only official localization we've gotten of Heroes is through Dokkan Battle. They have a yearly collaboration event held where they make new characters based on the cards with completely remade art, new 2d animations based on the 3d animations in the arcade game, and as of 2022, full made from the ground up OSTs made for the premier units (Hearts in 2022, Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker Vegetto in 2023). If anyone is a fan of the arcade machine and it's history, I recommend checking out the Dokkan Battle crossovers!

Budokai was released at the perfect time over here, as I remember it was largely after the Cell saga and so during the break it kept you into the show. Still one of my favourite game series.

Budokai 2, Tenkaichi 3 and Xenoverse 2 are my three favorite DB games! Each are very different from each other and have really great aspects to them to them. I love how diverse the games in this franchise are! Also thank you guys for all the information you find and uncover. I look forward to the content you can provide over on the archive channel, sounds like some exciting stuff!

I'm glad some people at DYKG are DBZ fans because I rarely see so much good content about games in this franchise! Also, while the Budokai Tenkaichi games weren't perfect (not at even close), they had a level of creativity that is missing in DBZ games since. Especially in comparison to Xenoverse or Kakarot. I feel like the modern games, on top of being extremely cheaply made (so nothing's changed since the PS2 days), are made to fit into broader demographics rather than focusing on a creative idea. I dunno, maybe it's just nostalgia. I do hate how modern 3D fighters seem to be designed with the mindset of it being impossible to incorporate actual combos. There's the rare exception, like Pokkén Tournament, but they're exceedingly rare. (Still holding out hope for a Pokkén sequel)

Its honestly wild how the the budokai games have so many strange localization changes and left over content. But at the same time really cool. Loving these little 1 hour fact videos I'm finding them very fun!
