I recently ordered and received another one of Brave Star's creations, the Die-hard Double knee, tapered leg, 10 oz. Twill Selvedge Denim. My first impression is that I LIKE IT very much. Check it out!

Thanks again for watching! There are a couple of American made selvedge jeans out there but it just so happen that I like what Brave Star offers. This was a good buy and I'm still enjoying them for when I feel like wearing something other than jeans.

I just got my first pair of selvedge denim. Brave star 14.75 oz Japanese and strongman fit. I love them. I already want to try more. Well worth the money.

Yoo good video. I own 3 brave star double knees, the brown/black cone mills, the Kaihara mercerized yarn one and the new crotch gusset one. The crotch gusset double knee is a game changer.

Nice ones! Man, again at it with mirroring my latest buys. I got into double knee carpenter pants this past half year and have 2 of Indigoferas Wendell pants in black and brown/beige. Ok, I’ll continue watching the video. 🙌

Awesome brother! I loved those cargo/carpenter jeans from the 90s so this the closest new version of that. I’m checking out the Wendell pants too but a little more expensive. It looks like canvas material and I really like the brown ones.

Great Review, Chris. Brave Star has to be the best bang for the buck in selvedge denim and heritage wear. Their clothing has excellent style and quality. It think it rivals many other brands costing much more. Those jeans, with the white shirt and Iron Rangers? Awesome!

Thank you very much! Linen clothing is pretty cool in my opinion. It’s perfect for warmer weather. Quality comes first and longevity goes along with it. You only live once and buy quality goods that you can afford.

Thanks Gio! BS is always experimenting and listens to inputs from fans so this may be one of them. The one on that picture looks too many things going on (in my personal opinion). Never say never I say since I might end up with one of those haha!!!

I love what IH and BS products offer including their Heritage shirts. However, I’m more of a treasure hunter when it comes to vintage shirts. Anything to do with motorcycles and cars…

On another matter, I sure hope you have been protected from the recent Maui wildfires in the news. I was shocked to find out that the main cause of the fires are extremely dry conditions and high winds, namely climate change (?).

Thanks for your thoughts, I’m not affected by the recent disaster in Maui but I feel for the residents there and we are willing to lend a hand. I was there the beginning of this year and yes it was already dry. In fact, there was a brush fire while I was in Kula.

Hello from NYC , I need help with the size in this jean style ( the official size chart doesn't work for me) I have 2 pairs of jeans 21 oz and 14 oz slim tapped both and they fit me different. On levis my size is 31 waist . Any suggestion?thanks for your channel content....

Aloha, I agree that the sizes are slightly different even from the same maker. There’s also sanforized and unsanforized to consider. My experience is that if you have the patience then size based on the company’s recommendations. Iron Heart 666 21 oz recommended a size 32 with the idea that it will stretch to size 34 or more with use. I can tell you that it takes a while to get there and in the meantime, size 32 on my 34 inch waist hurts. I now order a size 33 or 34 and will have to wear a belt in the future to hold my jeans up. Another option is to take it to a tailor to size it down. I probably didn’t answer your question but offering my own take. It’s up to you really. I love my vintage 501 jeans also since they fit my waist the best.

Haha, actually the company "Olukai" makes slippers in Hawaii. I might buy one of those and talk about them here. It's like $100-200 bucks but really nice. My wife has one!

Hey Chris, great video. I’ve been watching a bunch of your vids on BS since I’ve decided to order my first pair of salvage denim. Ironically I was planning on waiting to order a pair since I really wanted to get some cone mills and then I got an email that they had a slubtober limited edition pair so I put in an order. Your vids have given me a good idea on sizing since I’m a bigger guy 5’10” 215lbs. Tried to squeeze into a 38” slim taper and it was muffin top central so I exchanged it for the slim straight. Hopefully that’s better. Was thinking I might try some of the heavier black jeans if the slim straight feels ok. Idk if you did anything with your patch on the 14.5oz leather but I’d hit it with some Venetian shoe cream, might help loosen it up and moisturize it.

Thanks for watching brother. I slowed down a bit on my style vids because of an intense project. I’ve had issues with sizing myself and these things are like designed for slim dudes. Trial and error I suppose but luckily BS is affordable with great quality. Good luck on your adventures! That patch I made is still going strong. I’ll definitely condition it!
