Meine Eltern und ich sind vor 8 oder 9 Jahren extra mit dieser Bahn gefahren, weil uns bewusst war, dass sie bald weg sein würde. War irgendwie ein echtes Erlebnis und ich finds immer noch schade, dass die Bahn Geschichte ist.

Ich war Anfang Oktober 2018 noch dort und habe es in vollen Zügen genossen. Diese Kurvenkonstruktion war wirklich beeindruckend, man muss sie in echt gesehen haben, um ihre optische Wirkung voll zu spüren. Der Fußmarsch dorthin war für jemanden, der mit dem Bergwandern jahrelang pausiert hatte allerdings schon eine Meisterleistung. Ganz schön steil dort...

So schön deine Videos sind von deiner Qualität. Diese Einzigartigkeit hat ein Manko. Es gibt eine Regel im Filmbusiness die sagt "Do the show, not the tell." Das heißt, wenn du etwas erklärst, dann ist es um ein vielfaches Wertvoller das mit Bildern zu unterlegen. Wenn du also die Kettenförderer in der Station erwähnst, dann zeige diese bitte auch genau da. Wenn du von einer alten Bahn erzählst, dann zeige doch zumindest die Bilder. Schließlich ist dieser Kanal ein Historischer und auch, wenn du keine eigenen Videos gedreht hast, darfst du dich bestimmter Bibliotheken verwenden. Aber ja, schade, dass die Bahn bald außer Betrieb geht.

Das ist mir schon bewusst, ich kann es aber aus verschiedenen Gründen so nicht umsetzen, auch wenn das vielleicht schöner wäre. Gute Videos von alten Anlagen sind kaum mit vertretbarem Aufwand aufzutreiben und die Verwendung schon erst recht nicht, wenn ich das Video hier monetarisiere. Ganz abgesehen von dem viel höheren Zeitaufwand, den ich dafür einfach nicht aufbringen kann. Deswegen sind die Videos bewusst so konzipiert, dass die Erzählung im Hintergrund die Geschichte beleuchtet während man visuell von der Talstation zur Bergstation der jeweiligen Bahn schwebt.

To this day, there is no replacement. But as far as I know, the old installations have mostly been removed.

Naja um ehrlich zu sein lieber eine vollständige einsatzfähige alte Habegger-Bahn mit Kurve welche einfach nicht fährt, als eine Stinknormale 10er Kabinenbahn mit Normalem Betrieb. So bleibt zumindest in meinem Kopf noch eine minimale Chance das sie zumindest noch einmal kurz fährt!

It's not really a "Hate" of Nostalgia. 1) First and foremost the Age, 40Years is the Operatinglicense, after that it has to be completely rebuilt, which is most often more expensive than just a Newbuild. 2) The absurdly high Safetystandards here in Switzerland which change every few Years, and often call for expensive refurbishments even before those 40Years are gone, without elongating the Operatinglicense 3) The Comfort which new Cablecars have, People won't visit a Place with only old Stuff if there's the newest available just one Mountairidge over (heated Seats with Cover on Chairlifts, Gondolas with 5G Internet...) 4) The Rellerli is southfacing and on quite low Altitude, there's most often not enough Snow. Installing Snowcannons is too expensive and the Environmentalprotests against those way to heavy.... 5) The Company. It's Part of the Gstaad Skilifts, they think nothing but MONEY MONEY MONEY

Terrible operating licenses which are bullshit, because there are lifts in Czech and Germany which are over 70 years old, and some are STILL IN THEIR ORIGINAL CONDITION, and have not had ONE accident related to their age or mechanical design, manufacturers of modern lifts DELIBERETELY lobbying governmental authorities to impose more and more tyrannical safety standards, And making the new technology deliberetely incompatible with the old lifts, and the fact that companies only do things that make them more and cost them less money, and are not interested in anything else. Including the modern lift manufacturers, who only care about money too and are anti-competition. Anyone else who tries to make their own ropeways just gets taken the frick over and turned into a subsidiary of the big companies(zombified) or dissolved(shut down entirely). You're freaking right on everything you said in your comment. But generally ski lifts shouldn't only be in mountain regions. They should have been everywhere. Public parks, long town or city streets, lakes, coastal areas, et cetera. Not JUST FREAKING MOUNTAIN REGIONS. Not only can they be built in so many more places besides mountain regions, but they are mechanical artworks really, and that's what the old lifts are, and the modern lifts aren't. If gondolas, chairlifts, aerial tramways, etc, were built in more widespread places than just mountain regions, then people would understand that the old lifts are made by many different manufacturers, are rare, and are always different, and that modern lifts are made by the same 4 manufacturers over and over again, are not rare, are mass produced, and are never different. Not necessarily nostalgia really, it's the mechanical difference and rarity of the old lifts that's more important than anything else along with the fact that they NEVER have accidents caused by any parts of their design, and the authorities and ropeway manufacturers are just looking for an excuse to make as much money as they possibly can.

@@CBF1 Internationally there are quite a lot public Transportation Gondolas all over in Cities (f.ex. LaPaz, Bolivia), it is a existing Thing. One Point I didn't mention until you said it now is the Lack of Competition and the smaller Companies that get "eaten up" by bigger ones. Since the Producer of this Cablecar here ceased to exist, there's also no more original Spareparts left. We do have tons of very old Skilifts in Switzerland left in daily use still, but Chairlifts and Gondolas are on a higher Safetylevel. (Unless it's fully private or Material only use, then yes, there are 80 Years old ones still in use) The biggest ever Problem is, that the Standards and Regulations are made and issued by People that never have worked with, used, or even seen the Things they are deciding over themselves and have absolutely no clue how and why it works. Plus most often Directors or Managers of big Companies are Politicians or Lobbyists themselves.

Bei dieser Bahn hätte man auch eine Station bauen können wie bei der Firstbahn oder bei der Sesselbahn Tortin , anstatt dieser großen Stütze die das Seil umlenkt . Also eine Station wo die Gondeln auf ein zweites Seil gesetzt werden .

because the up/down roller coaster solution to change the angle of the line halfway up is pretty neat....I'm sure it would be done/achieved differently today but it worked and must have been groundbreaking at the time. My 2 cents!

Kurve in der Mitte ist aber nicht einzigartig! Gibt es in Mayrhofen im Zillertal auch! Sogar bei einer 3 Seil Bahn! Oder meint ihr einzigartig für diesen Hersteller?

In der Form war die Kurvenkonstruktion bei Kuppelbahnen sehr wohl einmalig denn die Schrägrollenkombination mit Niederhalte -, Trag -, und wieder Niederhaltestütze gab und gibt es sonst nur bei fixgeklemmten Schleppliften. Bei der DM Penken - 30Tgd deren Kurvenwinkel auch deutlich geringer ist wird (und wurde auch bei der Vorgänger - 15Bgd von Waagner Biro die Richtungsänderung nur auf der ersten Tragstütze realisiert. Erst im Jänner 2018 stattete Poma die Surpreme - 6Cld für eine 8° Kurve mit einem Stützenhaufen aus bei dem abwechselnd schräggestellte Viererrobas tragend und niederhaltend verbaut wurden.

himbuin, diese Bahn in Mayrhofen ist auf eine andere Weise sehr speziell, das heisst der grosse Bodenabstand das ist sehr selten, und bei einigen Kabinen der alten Bahn schüttelte es die ganze Kabine bei der Kurve ; ) Bin ich selbst mal gefahren.
