Die With Me - Burnt Flowers Fallen - In Praise of Bacchus comprise a really special section of October Rust, capped nicely with Cinnamon Girl to transition to the rest of the album. Magical stuff. I've always loved these songs.

Excellent choice of song from an incredible album. I remember listening to this way back in high school after a breakup. It hits different when you're going through a similar experience as the guy in the song. Pete was the master at capturing an emotion and taking the listener there. The piano in this song still moves me so much! Thanks Lauren! 👍🎸💀💚

I think you'd love some early Paradise Lost (Icon album era). I discovered them at the same time as Type O in my youth, and for many years these were the only 2 bands making Goth/Doom-y type metal.

You should do a six degrees of Ozzy double header - Type O did a really good cover of "Paranoid", just a beautiful cover, and Ozzy did vocals on a cover of "Pictures of Matchstick Men" with Type O backing him. Both are really good, "Paranoid" is probably one of the best they've done. (Nowhere near as depressing as "Summer Breeze")

When this album came out I was actually kind of bummed out about it. I didn't DISLIKE it, I just felt like it was kind of wimpy coming off of Bloody Kisses. One morning I was walking home from a third shift at a gas station and listening to it as the sun was coming up. This track came on and it was absolutely perfect. The part where it goes into "lay your head down" happened and that was a wrap. Everything just clicked into place and I loved the whole record after that. Hopefully by next Halloween you'll have done the whole album and you can listen to it on your own all the way through. Type O really is a band that you need to experience the full albums, but October Rust specifically benefits. It's a vibe unlike any other. 💚🖤💚 Also, if you haven't done All Hallow's Eve....holy smokes you gotta do that for Halloween. I don't think there has ever been a more perfect song for Halloween.

The atmosphere and lyrics are beautiful, Rust has to be my favorite album of all time it has been with me through sooooo many ups and downs for the past 25 years. Amazing record
