Great one MARTIN, bit of a crossover Skoda pickup little taper sides but looks good why did Ford never think of it. The Colour looked good on it so tell QC she did well. You must have steady hand to cut that out the way you did. A master at his work. Looked like you still had a few bits from the old railway as it's load. Well done 10/10 All the best Rob. Timely, Martin. I am doing an Oxford Humber Pullman, cutting the back off to make a State Landaulette (which was why I asked about the steed roof section sizes). It is really scary the first time you fire up the Dremel with the cutting wheel! And there is a lot of filing to do! Your video made it look a lot easier and a lot quicker than it is! Nice result. I had a hard-disk failure in the Mac so I am a bit behind, as well as renamed temporarily, I hope. Computers are like women: you can't live with them and you can't live without them!

Good idea that turned into a cool custom Martin!!!! Was a bit surprised you didn’t use the extra roof and side bit for the tailgate and or the piece between the cab and bed. Worked out in the end though, love the color and details and the roundabout diorama looks sweet. Cheers John, yes I couldn't use the roof because it hade deep ridges in it ,I had to file it all down smoth on the cab section, and the side panels had a big grove around the edge ,witch I had to fill in on the slopping sides , otherwise a good idea my friend, glad you liked it and all the best martin 👍

Wow Martin fantastic job. We used to have 6 and 8 cylinder Holden Kingswood, Chrystler and Ford falcon UTES in Aus Now they are all 4WD monsters. Did UK Ford release an Escort UTE? I think it would have been really popular with builders and the like. The mark2 looks a bit longer and wider than the mark1 I used to use in my cleaning business. I don't think Aus got the mark2 I never saw one anyway. They were great little vans and I still miss my old one to this day. Your example looks like it came out of the box that way well done. if there were any Escort utes they might have been one-of-a-kind customs. what you could buy in england, were utes based on cortina MK4/5, and Sierra, called P100. some modeler in england has a 1/43 model kit of the later sierra P100 on tab, quite a detailed tin kit. I know of only one Sierra P100 here in germany, looks like the P100 wasn't part of the official line of utes.

Cheers Geoff, we had had like Luther said ,ford cortina mk4 and the searria, they were called p100. It's a mk3 apparently not a mk2 so I got it wrong . I still prefer the mk1 as my favourite. All the best martin 👍

nicely done. the sloping roof line was a good idea, as well as smoothing it out, together with the roof. too bad the back doors didn't work, but they'd have looked to fiddly, anyway, with that single bottom hinge. I'll have to look out for those, the re-launch from a couple years ago had the rear doors cast shut. love the colour, too, and the wheels speak "custom" to me. what everyone would do after bringing one of these cars back to life. :) saw one at the scrapyard a cou´ple years ago, used to run for a ford dealership as a service/parts delivery, but it was so corroded and neglected it was worth nothing anymore. too bad, would have been fun to bring back onto the road... but say, since the cortina/sierra ute is the P100, would an escort ute be the P75? ;)

One of the few cars that are not sold in France with this type of body...The Ford Escort Van ...^^'. From what I know it's a Ford, so don't expect top quality, it's logically good value for money, the engines were solid especially the diesel and the escorts were better equiped depending on the finish than their European competitors of the time for sometimes less expensive than these famous latters. Well , Oups , now , she wow , uh it's a Escort Ute😅 , mm i prefer the Falcon Ute , taste & colors 😋 Or maybe she's now a Ford Ranchero Escort .😊
