Hi Martin it turned out fantastic the attention to detail makes all the difference. The silver grill look's much better. Did you salvage the tyres or replace them they look like new. What a great idea doing the top of the bottles I would never of thought of that. Back in the early 80s I was on social security- or the dole and they made me get my class two licence witch is to drive a tray or box truck. I was sent to a truck drivers place to be his offsider loading drink bottles on and off the back of the truck. We were driving down a bumpy road and suddenly there were five bangs or loud pops. A crate of drink bottles came off and exploded one by one on the road. It sounded like a gun going off.💣💣I only lasted about a week there was something I was allergic to now what was it🤔🤔 Oh yeh HARD WORK. See you on the next one mate watch out for those pigeons some of then are good shots.😂😂🤣🤣

The tryes some I changed the back ones I turned around ,saving the penny's 🤣, there just some jobs that are rubbish, I rember getting sacked from a job,I was given a verbal warning in the morning a written warning in the afternoon and sacked at the end of the day ,a bloody hat trick 🤣🤣🤣

looks great again, nicely colourful. ^^ I'm surprised all tyres still held up, looking as hardened as some did. Interestign method of painting the bottle caps; I saw it with restorers of those old Tonka toy trucks. :) one of the tricks that make you wonder why no one else had the idea before, it comes so natural and logical. also, the caps seem to have a tiny logo on them now, too. :) as styled and designed as old english trucks tend to look like, the Bedfords and later the Leylands always seem to bear a concerned if not grumpy face...

Cool trick on the bottle tops - clever, that! Gemini has a Coke bottle kit with two crates and loads of bottles that can be built up - it is expensive, but very convincing. I have a picture reference if you want me to send it. Lovely finish on the truck: so much easier to detail than the Corgi one I just finished, and your paint split on the cab is much more realistic! Great job again, Martin.
@martindaredare Жыл бұрын
Thanks Fraser it's one of those occasions we're an idea actually worked, thanks again for the pictures. Enjoy your day my friend
@davidwelch6796 Жыл бұрын
Very smart job. The reason that the paint looks a little bit lighter on video than it does in real life is the black background in your lighting booth. The camera tries to average everything out to a general grey but because there is so much black in the picture it opens the lens aperture to allow a bit more light through, hence the lighter red. If you want to fix this you could change the black background to grey. On the other hand you could leave it is as the end result still looks very good to me.

Oh wow Martin you've done a brilliant job on this TK Bedford, it looks fantastic. Again your detailing really makes it stand out, especially on the Coke bottle tops. Hello Martin, that is lovely! The cab looks stunning. Watching you do that decal, it reminded me of me when I'm doing them. I keep making tiny little adjustments with a cotton bud, then a cocktail stick, then a cotton bud again, then it moves slightly, and you think , " I should have left it where it was". It's a real delicate operation isn't it? Love watching your videos as usual, all the best to you and your family mate. Take care.
