For those who missed the foreshadowing of Unalaq's defeat, what Jinora did was literally finding the light in the dark. Remember when Iroh taught Korra to use her own inner light to illuminate the world around her? Jinora did exactly that. She found the light (Raava) inside the dark (Vaatu).

We get the symbolism just fine, but the method for attaining that conclusion was poorly set up. Jinora's ability to project her spirit form into the physical world was not foreshadowed at all.

Season 3 is borderline perfect. Actually could be classified as the best of ANY Avatar season in terms of start to finish quality. But I will also say that personally, season 4 holds a special place for me. It brings everything together in a relatable, realistic and emotional way that always brings me happy tear bending. Can't wait!!

I've seen multiple people try to convince them that the ending was trash; but if they enjoyed it, then let them! Not everyone has the same tastes or has to enjoy the same thing. I watched this season when it first aired, and my only issue with it was that it felt like the ultimate evil should have been the final fight, but they really thought it was going to be AGAIN. Nickelodeon just liked dangling the possibility of canceling constantly in their faces. I also have come to appreciate the good parts of the season the more I've watched it, and everyone seems to universally agree that the soundtrack is one of the best for the series in the last episode. Just like what Iroh said, "If you look for the dark, that is all you'll ever see." 🧘‍♀️

S3 and S4 are the seasons that truly distinguish this show from it's predecessor. Those seasons truly highlight why this Avatar team is older because of the even more serious tone. Also the two best villains in Avatar.

A lot of people say this is the worse season and I agree, but I think this season did offer some great things to the universe, such as Rava, vatu and Wans story and spirit bending. If the writers / showrunners were given more time i think this could have been the best season but we can't have nice things.

Oh definitely I still really like this season on don’t over look it , it implements important elements and the score so good, and I love korras ending speech, and I actually quite like that korra lost her past lives as it’s like killing ur darlings it shows that the avatar still has draw backs that have coats , + if she got them back ppl would moan that it was cheap to instantly have them again

For any faults Book 2 might have, it easily has more good. We get Bumi, Kya and their relationship with Tenzin. There’s Varric and Zhu Li. Avatar Wan. Jinora starts to grow into her own and so much more. I’m much more critical of this season now, but I’m not gonna pretend that I ever thought it was just bad

I've grown to enjoy this season more as I've gotten older (it still has problems don't get me wrong) but there are a lot of interesting ideas that I'm sure they didnt have much time to focus on due to behind the scenes issues. Unalok wiping the past avatars greatly raised the stakes which makes sense for what they thought was their final season but finding a way to keep the cycle going was great in its own way. Now that Avatar Studios is working on their own things I'm super excited to see what they do with these ideas and how they build upon what were decisions forced to be made hastily. AtLA is always gonna be my favorite show but I love this one just as well for what they were able to do in the shadow of what most people call (including myself) a damn near perfect show

My favorite T-shirt is one that has Raava and Vaatu in a yin-yang pattern. People who recognize it LOVE it. There are lots of old school Godzilla movies. The original is just Godzilla. But all others (I think) have other monsters (which are actually people in rubber suits so it all looks delightfully cheesy). The best that I remember from childhood was "Destroy All Monsters."

My favorited thing about the end of this season is Korra has gone down in history as both the Last Avatar of the cycle, when Rava was removed from from her and she lost her past lives, and the First Avatar of a new cycle. She imo is now the most famous and important Avatar in history because of this.

Yin and yang stories are tricky. How do you give the devil his due in an actual satisfying manner. Not the insane, pure evil, "Thanos was right" meme that somehow some people think is an acceptable opinion. Korra leaving the realms connected was a perfect compromise by the writers, evil still partly won because it was its time. "You are the Avatar", correct. Up until this point she was mostly just a child with too much power. This was the first time we saw her truly concede. Not spoiling anything but this long leadup to a more mature main character was why people were turned off. Going from the very likable Aang and a very straight forward heroes journey. To an up until this point, spoiled brat like Korra.

I have seen people who are crap with relationships but they are great at the rest of their life - I don't understand it, but I know it does happen. Give it all time, I think you'll be satisfied with the way things go in season 3, but starting with teenagers, it takes a while to get them past all that teen-stuff. There is so much I want to say, but none of it can be said without spoilers so I shall just say that after watching the two of you through Avatar and the first 2 seasons of Korra, I think you will love the rest of the series. Let's hope the live action, which is just 2 months away, will turn out to be as enjoyable as the animated series were.

Godzilla lore has always been rather flexible and rearranged to suit each individual story being told. But going strictly off of this current and most recent version, then Godzilla is what history calls a Titan. There are many others in the world as well; however Godzilla is considered the King of these beasts. It's HIS job to keep them in line and keep the planet in balance. Also it's to be noted that the Hollow Earth also exists in this iteration and is where Kong and at least some of the Titans come from. Well perhaps not Kong himself as we see him but his species are from Hollow Earth; I was never 100% certain about that. But also yes, I highly recommend watching the Monster Universe starting with Godzilla (2014) this crosses over into Kong: Skull Island in 2017, then: Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019), Then Godzilla vs Kong (2021) and then finally: Monarch: Legacy of Monsters - the series that is now airing.

They didn't watch Captain Marvel because the dude that edits the videos didn't like it and told them not to watch it. However she was talking about the part in Infinity War when Rhodie asked Captain Marvel where she was all this time during the Snap and of course she forgot the part where Carol said there were thousands of other worlds who didn't have the Avengers so she was out there doing her part to help those places because Earth already had a lot of heroes.

Avatar fans got way bent out of shape over this season because bending got extremely magical and extremely anime. It realistically already *was*, but giant kaiju spirit fighting was not what people wanted out of an Avatar story. I go back and forth on it. I thibk it's a good season that has to get a lot done in a short time, but it does accomplish what it sets out to do - we get a new status quo going forward, both for the world and the avatar, which is quite useful narratively. For Korra and gang, their interpersonal evolution is a big deal this season. One of the things I really, really like about LoK is how it shows just how difficult it is to stay together as you grow up and grow apart. Like, fundamentally, as you get older, your lives take you in new directions. Bolin's speech about not knowing who he was in the face of all of his friends leaving is a thing a lot of young adults go through, and the show does a great job of knocking that home. This season doesn't really end with a group hug - everyone is off doing their own thing and trying to figure out how life is gonna work in this brave new world. People says it's one of the worst seasons, but I think a lot of that is because how amazing 3&4 are.

They go through each episode starting with ATLA and talk about the behind the scenes stuff that it took to make the episode or some of their choices etc.

It was not sa bad season, but Unalaq was the worst villain for the reason you identified, his plan seemed ill thought out, and a good story usually will not have a villain whose plan seems dumb (or, if the plan is dumb, then the villain needs to be more charismatic than Unalaq so the villain is at least be fun to watch).

I love y'all. Season 2 has it's rough spots with the love triangle but overall it is really good and the Beginnings Part 1 and 2 are some of the best of teh entire series. Honestly, for me the weak points of season 2 are the love triangle (which speaks for itself) and Unalaq. I feel like he is a somewhat shallow villain. I wish they had made him a little more deep with a more reasonable motivation. He feels a lot like a Generic Bad Guy™

if you buy this book's ending, you're not ready for book 3's I think we in the fandom, ATLA in general or just LoK fandom, all agree that book 2 is the worst book there is of LoK. It's pretty bad written with too many storylines going on. It did good on small things and some pretty fun side characters but other than that, this book almost made me drop the series. Like, even the studio don't even like this book or at least the villain Unalaq. (a small, safe spoiler) there will be a recap episode, and in it, they don't even bother mention the actual Unalaq, instead, they used the "mover" actor one because yeah, he's just that bad written

I think the reason people don’t like Korra as much as The Last Airbender is because of how different they really are. As though Korra would’ve been better off being an original series than a sequel like the Velma show was supposed to be an original series but wasn’t greenlit until the Scooby Doo franchise was grafted onto it
