I do have strong concerns about this kind of competition: Autonomous driving is a key factor for the future success or failure of current car companies. If you participate in such an event and you send the pinnacle of researchers, coders and engineers there who are only focusing on winning this race, and there are also coming others from all over the world, this is the perfect scenario in which a foreign state can spy all teams about their technology and steal it. Everybody is in a place with unknown network security, there is a radio connection between the paddock and the car, there are computers who might be unattended over night, etc., etc. This sounds like a paranoid conspiracy story but be aware how important this knowledge is to our car industry!!!

Naja, hat schon ne daseinsberechtigung, Aber wird sich halt fast niemand angucken. Die werden die Serie künstlich am Leben halten wie Formel e, ExtremE und MotoE. Ich fühle jetzt schon die Emotionslosigkeit und Künstlichkeit. Aber das erste rennen werd ich mir mal geben. Will mal sehen wie sich das entwickelt hat. Diese Rahmenserie der Formel E war ja n mieser Flop
