I have been watching Narrowboat Wills vlog installing what looks like the same heater, he had a sort of flexible gripper to place the valve in the fuel tank.

You did well there for a first time setup. You always need plenty of battery power for the start up and shut down or it will show a fault code and switch itself off. It will use quite a few amps although once running it uses hardly any. I always use a motorcycle heat wrap for the exhaust 👍

Good to see you back at it. I was thinking maybe if you left the heater on the board set up, you could move it when you didn't need the heat. You still need to find out about the exhaust port thing. JUST A THOUGHT GOOD LUCK

@12:18 I thought the steel tube would be attached to the blue lid of the provided tank. Maybe I don't know.

If you use fiberglass exhaust wrap make sure to wear a good pair of gloves because it will stick in your hands for days and it is very uncomfortable I learnt the hard way.

Hi Ted, iv'e been following your channel from the beginning and enjoy the videos. I am 73 years old, and i built my 21 foot sailing boat ( from a set of plans by American designer Bruce Bingham ), back in 1993. My boat is rigged as a cutter with 2 head sails. Recently i got interested in the junk rig, so i re visited some of your earlier videos. I am writing to ask if you have any information about which company supplied the mast and tabernacle ( the idea of being able to lower or raise the mast is great ), or any other information you may have. I live in Devon. Best regards, Oz.

Like your enthusiasm but those exhausts are meant for external use only. You need to buy a proper stainless marine exhaust that is properly sealed for internal use. The one you have will not be gas tight… they even have a hole drilled in to let condensation out this alone leaks gas. These can only be used outside like underneath a van etc. Please get the correct exhaust meant for a boat as there is a very real risk of death, and I don’t want that because I enjoy watching your videos!

Thanks for your advice I'm going to put a stainless steel exhaust flange on the side of the boat hopefully this will will work but of course I will have a carbon monoxide in the locker

@ yes, you will need this skin fitting to attach the exhaust to so the gas can exit the boat but, you must still get the stainless, sealed, marine exhaust (for internal use) because it will be leaking gas into your internal living space, even if you had the exhaust in a cockpit locker that is still internal and runs the risk. A carbon monoxide detector is obviously imperative but they can easily fail in the marine environment so relying soley on that is a bit risky, best to get an exhaust that is meant for internal use as well to be sure. I have fitted many of these on boats now and it’s common knowledge, always throw those sorts of exhaust you have away. And replace with internal use one. Best of luck. Keep the videos coming, you have a good presenting skill.
