Good stuff Ted. As mentioned C02 is lighter than air and easily circulates. Mount a detector near to where you would sleep and slightly higher than the heater. Also, there’s nothing more permanent than a temporary job so please make sure you change the green pipe and wire the power so it can’t be “accidentally” turned off! Glad to see you’re winning in putting this boat together.

Nice one Ted. CO is slightly lighter than air and will diffuse evenly through the cabin so put the alarm where it fits best but don't put it directly above the heater as it may emit a small amount of CO on start-up

You can use the fuel can as a tank just drill a hole slightly larger diameter than the fuel line in the cap so it can feed easily ...also be careful with the exhaust pipe near the steps it might burn the wood...all the best my friend

Agree with the small tank Ted. Wonder how much wrapping you need as the heat given off is going into the boat not outside ??
