Thanks for posting. Class 52 what a loco I was a Southern man but remember they used to come into Clapham Yard at night with milk train and then go down the main line to Wimbledon and then on to Morden milk depot in the late 1960s. All gone now alas. I also remember their final days passing through Basingstoke on their way with stone for the M25.

Ah yes, I remember it all !! Proper loco's on a proper railway with depots, yards and sidings everywhere.... and no sign of the plastic and foreign rubbish which infests today's modern soul-less system.... Really like the Old Oak Hymek shots, I guess this would have been in 74/75, after the Warships had gone. Great videos !

I've just discovered this film.. some of the footage was taken at West Ealing on a footbridge known as Jacobs Ladder... I spent a lot of my youth on that bridge watching the very same locos you have filmed here and in the same era. Happy memories and thanks for posting it on here

Fascinating stuff, I wish I was there,I'd have my bucket of wash n wax and given those westerns a proper wash! The shot of the warship in tardy blue and white looked quite sad. Thankyou for sharing.
