I've only just watched the entirety of the saga, and kudos to Richard for writing the best redemption arc even given to Diesel. Just the fact Diesel never actually seen a scrapped engine is an interesting trait that brought such a great trait in this arc. This blends perfectly into the classic series timeline, and Edward's contribution made this a beautiful, heartfelt story, with many parts where I was sitting in awe. From Diesel's demons facing him in the ghastly way, to Edward giving himself up as scrap to save him. God bless Richard, and you for bringing his stories to life.

Sir Toham: You will work in the scrapyard, far away from my engines. Diesel: The Scrapyard, sir!? That's a desolate place. Sir Topham: Good. You belong there. Ladies and Gentlman, I think found the best roast ever said.

This is incredible, I never seen any Thomas video this deep. I had the same ideas but couldn’t film it cause I don’t have the program.

I get it. These old engines had one bare spark of life left in it! Just enough for Diesel to leave. Edward will probably shelter him and try to help.

I think it would’ve been better if diesels demons took place after fergus runs away since sir topham hatt said he was gonna send diesel to work at the smelters.

Hmmmm! That is just not too fair of Diesel - wait until Boco finds out that Diesel has played a very unfortunate trick on him. Well! Sir Topham found out. And the Scrap yard is not a good place.

I always wonder why would Gordon need to go to crew when he can rest on the sheds to restore his energy pulling the express day in and day out?
@sockshandle3 жыл бұрын
In this case “Burnt out” likely means worn down

Ever so often a Steam Locomotive's Boiler has to be Inspected and Recertified. Could be time for it and by sending Gordon to Crewe they do a total inspection to find Potential Problems too.
@kennethjoseph93093 жыл бұрын
@@railbaron1 I see how many years does it take for the boiler to be expired to have a complete overhaul?
@karlrovey Жыл бұрын
@Kenneth Joseph It's different in the UK than the US. In the US, it's 1472 days of operation (any day with a fire in the firebox counts as a day of operation) or 15 years if it doesn't reach 1472 days of use. UK is 10 years, but there are more stipulations for the latter part of that period.

One nitpick "restore your engine" makes no sense. He's not a diesel, he doesn't have an engine, he is an engine. "Restore you boiler" or "replace/repair your worn parts" would make more sense.
@SpencerShirey19983 жыл бұрын
Diesel is an engine. But he has a engine that needs repaired/maintenance

You do realize that Diesel remains devious and causing trouble to steam engines in the show after 'Arry and Bert arrived like Fergus Broke The Rules or something. Are you still gonna create stories of Diesel being devious and all?

He doesn’t write these stories.

@@DavidBContentExtravaganza3967 then where is the character growth? which is rather important to the continuity (also arguably in the series most of diesels teasing was less malicious than after he was sent packing) I mean goodness even Boco could eventually become slightly devious even if its for the right reasons
