I was 6 years old, living in El Paso, next door to a dairy/ice house that used to spray chopped ice into "refrigerated" trucks. . . the music of the 18-wheelers. . . the kindness of the drivers [we were POOR, and they often gave us "samples" of produce from the trucks when they saw us hauling home a 25-pound block of ice in my brother's battered red wagon]. This song was popular then, and would often be playing on the truck drivers' radios -- since we didn't KNOW that we were poor, the memories and associations with semis are all good.

Lane control he has a trailer back there you know It takes a different path than the truck so on right curves you need to dip the front into the other lane or your trailer will go in the ditch

Love the footage, I’m a third generation truck driver and ex-OTR truck driver although I’m local now this song gives me chills cos I remember many of nights I was falling asleep but had to push on, I thank God every day I’m still here and have a family now
