The thing I’ve always loved about working on big trucks is the opportunity to go from a job that’s all computers and thinking skills, like barely even need to wash your hands at the end of the day. To a job that’s full blown back breaking air hammering cutting torch mayhem. When you spend days or weeks chasing wires or watching data logs you almost drool at the opportunity to do a clutch or set of drive brakes!

100% true, in this trade I have learnt you have your better and worse days but every experience good and bad makes you an all round better tech. 👍

Dude, this hit home. Almost 3 months into being a diesel mechanic and ive had tons of mistakes to work through. Tore apart an international maxxforce 7 five times in one week because something else kept going wrong. But man, that feeling of having it leave my bay finally was euphoric 😂

So very true, got to just learn from the mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes the only thing is did you learn from it or not.

You nailed it. You just keep pushing yourself through the tough times. Learning never stops until you are dead. Keep a journal of the odd shit that came up and what worked where you can refer to it.
