MK7 console removal demystified by Dieselgeek

We got a lot of questions from customers regarding how to remove the center console so they could install the MK7 Super Pin. It's not all that difficult but the Germans hid all the fasteners so it's a little intimidating.
All fastener heads are either T20, T30, or 10mm hex.

Excellent instructional video. Great helpful detail. Lots of catches and fasteners that are not obvious, event with diagrams, on how to remove/work without breaking them and the trim pieces. I would have easily broken a number of pieces without this helpful video.

I accidentally shorted out my rear center consul 12 V port and now I have to do all of this just to replace the actual port. OMG.

I bet all MK7s and MK8s are pretty similar, it only makes sense from a manufacturing standpoint.

Passat CC is probably going to be more similar to MK6. We have a video for that one as well.
