Dieselpunk: Engines of Imagination Step into the gritty, glamorous world of dieselpunk, where the roar of powerful engines meets the sleek lines of Art Deco in a retrofuturistic blend of history and imagination. This captivating genre reimagines the diesel era of the 1920s to 1950s with a speculative twist, creating alternate realities where diesel-powered marvels and film noir intrigue collide with fantastical innovations and sociopolitical tensions. I'm getting comfortable with most of the " punks ", doing digital art where they're explored.

Thanks! Just LOVE dieselpunk. It conveys a sense of could very well be, as opposed to steampunk, which seems to be Victorian clothes with non-functional doodads attached that serve no purpose. Also, the clothing for women in dieselpunk is sexier and badass.

Art Deco and the WW1/2 spiritual successor to steampunk? I'm noticing a lot of Metals with earth tones, or rather I might say, rust tones.

2:49 the AI that produced the images got a little mixed up with the guy on the bike over in the right of the image... still looks cool though. Certainly an interesting style.

Obviously AI. Most of this "machines" look rather twisted, it's hard to imagine how they could ever work. Looks nice though.

As it now stands, the world quite literally runs on diesel. All of the cargo ships run on diesel fuel or something even heavier. All of the heavy trucks used to haul cargo run on diesel. Nearly all of the farming and construction equipment rus on diesel. Despite our having fission at our fingertips, diesel still rules. Oh, and numerous boilers and heaters burn diesel. Just to top it off, gasoline is among the many products moved by diesel. No diesel, no modern society.

Yeah, I think I learned that the fuel some or most cruise ships use are about a half step away from being crude oil. If I'm wrong someone please correct me.

Sorry but that's just pulp with a new name
@ACEnBEAKYАй бұрын
Maybe, but I think there's a distance between restrained pulp and diesel punk just like there's a distance between steampunk and regular old Victorian/Western. It feels like more deliberately pronounced aesthetic, more fanciful than the real life inspiration it's based off of.
