Tony See you truly are awesome. I have a friend of mine that just got a new dog puppy, her name is Missy. When Missy grows up this is what she will get.

This is the best looking dog collar I"ve seen a tutorial for. It really shows off leatherworking. I'm actively working on mine now!!!

In this build the buckle will sit on the throat of the dog because it is on the opposite side of the d-ring where the leash is connected to the collar. I think that this is not good or comfortable for the dog. I would recommend to change it so that the buckle sits on the side of the dogs neck. To achive that you have to put the part where the d-ring is connected to the collar near one end of the collar. That way it is more comfortable for the dog.

Wow that rivet setter thingy is some simple genius. I've been avoiding using "real" rivets in any of my little projects so far, but when the time comes I'll be hunting down one of those bad boys.
@TheTrapperworm3 жыл бұрын
Beautiful pattern as always, Professor. My only issue is, I have trouble trusting the D ring in that position with the way my dog pulls. For me, it feels sturdier to put it down by the buckle.... I may try to mod this one a little for that. But an ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL design for the.... ahemmm..... Adult community.

I bought the pattern and trying to do it right now. There is the part when you saw the red "flower" around the rivets. Unfortunately that part has been completely cut out of the video therefore I don't know how to sew that part. Could you please help? Thanks

Holy Moses Tony, that Sinabrooks stitching punch is like $140. 1.5mm/6mm-6 holes. Now the $140 question is was it worth it? Does it punch holes better then other methods? What about going around a radius? Do you then just use single punch?

I have two large and 5 small dogs that need collars so this pattern is perfect! love the design..not the plain old strap collar.... I was wondering where the small clamp you use came from..ice been looking for a smaller stitching helper for a little while and that one looks like just what I need!

Hi Tony, Thank you so much for the fantastic pattern. I was able to use a larger version for my Cocker Spaniel, now my dachshund is offended and also wants a new collar. Unfortunately, I can't find decent buckles and D-rings in 18mm anywhere. Not even with Leather Republic. Will 20mm also work with the smaller sizes?

Tony Awesome job! Really appreciate the pattern looks great. Just FYI there’s small mistake with the 35-39cm portion the folding leather piece doesn’t really align with the belt piece. I was able to fix it by cutting both piece a little short.
@Ghostwriter694 жыл бұрын
I experienced that too. But on a worse note, I didn't think to turn the flesh side out before riveting and stitching the bottom strip to the upper strip. What a mess I made! Had to take it all apart. But like they say, if you're not making mistakes, you aren't learning.
