Diesels in Devon - Aller Junction in the 90s

Few places on a summer afternoon were as pleasant to film at as the site of the once Aller Junction, now Aller divergence.
The new A380 Kingskerswell bypass has swept away the filming location, a grassy farmers bridge that never saw any use.
With the sun in an ideal location an afternoon observer would witness at least 3 northbound parcel services between 1 and 6pm, together with 2 to 3 cross country 47s, and evening trip working from St Blazey to Riverside together with any number of unscheduled movements from Laira.
Metro Cammell DMU’s together with HSTs completed a memorable afternoon on 11th July 1990

That trio of class 50s, with two in NSE livery, the lead one, in plain blue, was 50019. It was allocated to the Civil Engineer, and so should've carried the dutch livery, but was repainted from NSE into plain blue upon its move to the CE in 1989. The large logo blue 47 with black cabside numbers was 47830. The video is a joy to watch, the era my layout is set in!

This is perfect, like all of yours, for 9 and a half mins I’m at Aller junction in the 90s, in the sun. I get absorbed into your films, the quality of them just takes me there, captures it all
