Or option 3 you build a hydraulic power pack consisting of a motor, a pump, and a tank. Maybe a couple of valves. You take the power pack out to the machine hook hoses up to the valves and move the functions you need. Or you take the main pump hoses off the machine and connect them to the power pack pump.

Can't say I agree with HEavy D's thinjking that anyone can flip these things. IOT takes having all the resources and knowledge available to accomplish the task.

I think in this situation we would agree that at this magnitude of getting a free excavator and repairing it for $2000 with a free motor. But what he is saying is find a cheap machine. Figure out how to repair it and resell it. I have done it with free TV’s turning a $400 profit for repairing them. Friend have turned a $1500 forklift into a $10000 forklift by some simple repairs.
@stevencraig65765 ай бұрын
You just need $200k semi, $50k trailer, $20k forklift, and another $80k excavator to install the engine and deal with transportation… it is that simple anyone can do it.
@ravenbarsrepairs55945 ай бұрын
@@SparksMotorsCo LOL. In the heavy machinery world, 20k is scrap prices, and you'd have more in getting the machine moved than it's worth, much less repair costs. Although where I work would disagree, refusing to replace a $6k radiator in our loader, as it's "cheaper to buy another machine", and after 6 months they found us a second loader, apparently sitting in a shed()they apparently hadn't taken a look inside in 6-9 months) out back of a company we'd bought out, that they then sent our way.

Meh, junkyards pull them faster, with a fork assemply that pins the vehicle down, and a cutting blade that chops the engine out. Not necessarily that it's ever going to run again due to the extraction method.
