Oh my goodness, you need more likes! I'm now subscribing to this channel, bc this is probably the ONLY video I've seen that wasn't an advertisement, or a lady showing off her body. I'm planning to start dance soon, and although I'm not overweight, I'm in NO condition. I have no muscles or strength in my body, and I'm planning to exercise to get them! I'm not saying there is the "perfect dancer body", but I've been wanting this WAYYYY before dance, and dance is just a better way to motivate me! Thanks so so so so so much!

and for carbohydrates?

Dancers need to eat plenty of varied carbohydrates throughout the day. Check out this post (and many more on the blog) for more insights: www.thewholedancer.com/best-diet-dancers/

It has been my dream since I was little to be a professional ballerina. I’ve always been drawn to it and at 18 I’ve recently started ballet a little over a month ago. I had the opportunity to do it when i was little but I quit before I even started because I was scared (that was a common theme in my life, until recently). Is there any hope at all of me becoming professional? I have read a lot of things that have absolutely crushed me!! I am trying to stretch 20 minutes a day, I already eat very healthy (high protein, lots of greens), and I am extremely determined and I am researching how full on a professional career is. I truly feel like ballet is what I am meant to be doing, and I haven’t felt like this a lot in my life.

Hi Danielle! Sorry I missed your comment, how have things been going for you over the last year?! To start at 18 and make it to pro it would be very hard but I'm an optimist and I believe people can defy the odds. Especially if you have good training available and can train 6 days a week and you have some natural facility for ballet, there's certainly a chance. Leave an update when you can. XO

@TheWholeDancer Жыл бұрын
Hi April! The most important thing you can do to inspire your peers is to care for your mind and body and to prioritize your health. Be a role model of a healthy, whole dancer. This will also allow you to dance longer and stronger!!

Ok thanks so much! Would your recommend ballet beautiful?
@TheWholeDancer Жыл бұрын
@@aprilausthetic443 odds are you don't actually need to add to your dancing load right now beyond what you're already doing. However, if you're looking for something to do during weeks when you're not dancing it could be a fun option!

I have a question im 14 and at ballet 5 grade um do i have to lose weight or is it early
@TheWholeDancer2 жыл бұрын
Definitely not a good idea to prioritize weight loss at this age (or honestly at any age). The priority should always be to fuel yourself adequately and to work to feel your best in the body you're in.
@keira2437 Жыл бұрын
Dont focus on that. Just be happy and healthy

may I ask ??? now I am 17 this year and I really want to be a ballerina, is that still possible ?? because usually it must be from childhood
@TheWholeDancer4 жыл бұрын
I think anything is possible. As a late starter you need to seek out really supportive teachers and great training.
