Apple cider vinegar helped me with my indigestion issues back in 1990. I used to mix it with Cranberry Apple juice. if only I decided to start a business back then. Anyway good for them.

I love these. I don't know why people have so much hate on them. From what I've seen and read up on them the skin benefits just come from making your gut healthier. I definitely see a difference in my skin when I am eating better vs eating a crap ton of sugar and processed foods. Either way, the proof is in the product for me. They help me reduce bloat and stay regular and as someone who has always struggled with issues of that nature these are such a life saver. Way better than downing magnesium citrate on a regular basis. So glad to have found them! Thanks for your video

I have tried both Poppi and Ollipop. I find that I have to split a can of the Ollipop because the 9 grams of fiber is way too much at once. I do think Ollipop is more effective for me with the probiotics. I'm 12 years out of a gastric sleeve and notice my I system is less sluggish and regular. I have also incorporated kim chi, kraut, and pickles for fiber and vinegar so I don't have to rely on these on a daily basis. 2-3 cans a week to help wean off sodas.

I appreciate your review so much! I've been addicted to soda all of my life and I've tried quitting it so many times and I keep going back. This is the first drink I've tasted that actually hits the same feel good receptors in my brain that soda brings. I was very wary of some of the health claims though when doing more research because they def gave some Dr. Oz type vibes. I wish they were more affordable but I think overall for my health it's worth splurging on if it can be used as a tool to help me eliminate sodas from my life.
@Letmelearnya2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching and sharing your experience! Poppi tastes great and is definitively a big step up from soda imo. But agree, I wish they didn't make all those health claims. I did a review on Olipop if you're interested in another expensive alternative to soda😂 It also tastes great but they actually have some research to support claims about their ingredients.

So glad somebody finally put a review out on these. I found these in the supermarket and I have been buying them pretty consistently since. I love that they taste so good and have a much smaller amount of added sugar than most beverages, but I also am bothered by some of the phony health claims that the company makes. They talk a lot about keeping it real, but misleading and/or lying to your customers does not seem very ethical or honest, especially when there are some solid health benefits to ACV alone. Why fabricate?? Also, the price is very exorbitant, I think I will give OLIPOP a try and see if I like the flavor. It would be great to hear if you have any recommendations on those!

So I did a theory for myself. I didn’t change my diet, I didn’t eat less, And my whole week was the same. Oddly enough, I lost 5 pounds drinking a poppi before lunch everyday. I’m not sure what’s the science behind that. I definitely wouldn’t want to keep paying their price. I hope in the future though, they make poppi cheaper, so people will cut back less on sugar drinks.
@Letmelearnya2 жыл бұрын
Interesting! If it worked for you and you'd like to save moolah, the apple cider vinegar itself is what might have contributed to your results. Apple cider vinegar is cheap and you can add it to juice or water to dilute it. Poppi claims to have 1 TB of vinegar in each drink, so that can help guide you. But also keep in mind your weight can fluctuate for many reasons. 5 lbs weight loss in one week could be water loss or hormone fluctuations for example!

I love your personality! had me at "breakfast tacos yo"🤣 and I agree best review I love honesty I'm one of those chronic soda drinkers from the hood so no I can't afford it I hate drinking water unless it's iced out cold looking for a good tasting alternative cause everything is either nasty or too expensive any suggestions?
@Letmelearnya3 жыл бұрын
Girl, I've got bad news. I'm still on the lookout for a good alternative! I will say, I did enjoy the Olipop soda in vintage cola flavor. Check out my review if you want to learn about it. It's expensive (lame), it tastes delicious for mimicking a soda (minus the slight stevia aftertaste), and the ingredients actually have research supporting them improving gut health. But the fiber content is high and might give you gas, lol. We can't win! So right now the only suggestion I have is filling a pitcher with water and some of your favorite frozen fruit and keeping it in the fridge. Maybe even add a bit of fruit juice? It doesn't come close to soda, but it's pretty, contains some vitamins, and adds a slight flavor to your water! Or maybe adding some fruit juice to mineral water? I'll keep looking for a good alternative and thanks so much for your sweet comment!

So what is your fav prebiotic? I have gut issues and this product caught my eye but I would love some recommendations for really great gut health products
@Letmelearnya3 жыл бұрын
As a dietitian, my recommendation will always be to get your prebiotics from food first. Foods high in prebiotics are chicory root, dandelion greens, garlic, onions, leeks, and whole grains. Most plant foods have prebiotics in them, but these are the few that have the highest amount. If you can't eat those foods for whatever reason, I'd suggest finding a supplement that has inulin in it, since it is backed by the most research. The brand Jarrow, which is generally trusted and reasonably priced, has an inulin-FOS supplement. HOWEVER, if you have a FODMAPs sensitivity, a prebiotic supplement could cause more issues. I would recommend finding the root of your gut issues (if you haven't already) before supplementing with prebiotic fiber. :) Good luck!
@Letmelearnya3 жыл бұрын
One more thing ;) If you are not FODMAP sensitive and you still wanted a tasty drink that has prebiotics in it, I'd recommend checking out Olipop. Their drinks are full of prebiotic fibers and other ingredients thought to support intestinal health. I did a review on them as well and liked their ingredients better than Poppi.

@@Letmelearnya how do i find the root of my gut issues what are gut issues
@Letmelearnya Жыл бұрын
@@kaelee1989 Gut issues can be anything from bloating, gas, diarrhea, constipation, nausea, heartburn, acid reflux, etc. Finding the root cause can be very difficult, and many benefit from working with a dietitian and/or healthcare professional to figure that out. I also recommend keeping a food journal, tracking what you eat and your symptoms, to help narrow down any triggers.

Can kids drink these drinks ,?
@Letmelearnya3 жыл бұрын
These should be ok for kids to drink, as long as they aren't allergic to any of the ingredients. I actually think these might be a good alternative to sodas since the sugar content is lower. Only concern I have, that I'd suggest you addressing with your children's dentist, is the effect apple cider vinegar might have on your children's teeth. Though diluted in 12 oz of liquid, apple cider vinegar is highly acidic and I'm not sure if that could negatively impact children's teeth.

I don't drink soda or hardly any non alcoholic beverages with sugar (lots of water) but I have chronic kidney disease so I've cut back drastically on alcohol consumption in recent years and instead of going for a beer, glass of wine or whiskey when I'm cooking dinner I've been drinking these poppi drinks instead and I have to say I'm kinda hooked on them. I guess I'm sort of exempt from the stevia factor because I don't consume anything else with stevia so I wouldn't typically even recognize the taste. I don't love the price but all things considered I spend a lot less on these then I used to spend on alcohol. I don't buy the bulk of the health claims either but my feeling is a lot of the health promotions are based on "this is healthier than the other crap you drink" type of logic. Anyway, me likey poppi. My favorites are the cherry limeade and ginger lime but the raspberry is pretty dang good too.

Is there any information on how much ACV is in one can? Because “infused” can mean very little in the container
@Letmelearnya3 жыл бұрын
They claim there is 1 Tablespoon of ACV per can. Of the studies I read, you would have to drink 1TB of ACV with each meal to see benefits of some blood sugar control. Which is also why Poppi recommends drinking their soda 2-3x per day.

@Letmelearnya2 жыл бұрын
The amount used in the studies showing some benefit was around 1-2 TB of ACV with meals. If you're going to attempt this be careful! Vinegar is highly acidic and has the potential to damage your teeth/soft tissues in your throat. Diluting it in water or making a nice salad dressing out of it should help reduce the acidity.

Maybe I should do a deep dive on traditional soda! I found the original Pepsi recipe 5 years ago, and let me tell ya, it was shocking. The ingredients were more similar to sodas like Poppi and Olipop because it was created to promote digestive health. Hence the name "Pepsi", a word play on "peptic," which means "of or pertaining to digestion." But over the decades, the recipe changed to what it is today. Super interesting!
