Really happy we made the switch to a checkpointed system. The game flow and reward tiers feel so much more satisfying. Losing, ending up with nothing but having to use your obtained Perk Potions and Skills to claw back a loadout is great stuff. Still some bugs and stuff we have to troubleshoot, but I'm learning to embrace that aspect and have fun with it.

I don't think the dragon priest potion is bugged. I think the one time you used it last time he was too low level to cast any spells and didn't have any staff equipped.

I don’t know if anyone will see this but I just gotta say that Joov reminds me of when I was younger and I used to watch my dad play Skyrim. I pretended I was in the game with him and had no idea what was going on but it was so fun. Now it’s just not the same and I’m always busy with school or work. I feel like potions are overshadowing everything else you could possibly buy. Maybe instead of just having items for sale, you should bring back loot boxes? There are plenty of gimmick items in the normal game that you probably wouldn't normally buy, but would have a fun time with if you pulled it from a loot box.

Joov, I heard that if the lockpick breaks to the left, it means the 'sweet spot' is located to the left of where it broke, and the reverse is true if it breaks on the right. Saw it in SorcererDave's playthrough. EDIT: Also if you get a Speech level, and you're just talking to Belethor and not the disappearing dremora, click out of the menu and then click back in and you'll get better prices. IIRC, you don't get the benefits of the higher speech level till you reload the menu.

I got 3 hours and 27 mins into the video only to be severally disappointed with the vampirism/injury debacle. I get the vampirism is bugged with the injury, but even despite the "checkpoint" system, there has to be a point like any roguelike setting you have to call it and go again. I would of rather watched you attempt bleak falls 10 more times than see you remove status via console commands just to get progress, where's the sense of accomplishment if you get through a ton of dungeon but have to do the console thing more times, it makes the run pretty pointless. This of course is just my opinion, it's still a great concept for a mod with the potions added in.

Dragon Priests not attacking when you’re too close to them is a vanilla bug. They should start attacking if you’re far enough away from them (though other actors might keep them in a bugged state too)

You know I like these, but I feel like that timer should reset when you start fresh, it looks like you have been playing this run for 2 hours and you haven't. But today's deaths and farthest room is nice to see. I feel like you have a good difficulty to keep it interesting, If anything i would maybe touch RNG to make it a little easier to get an enchant that suits you. or just flat double gold drops. Hope you continue to have fun.

So here's my idea: The main issue seems to be that quest dungeons are treated differently than regular dungeons, right? That's what forces you to do the PCB reload stuff, and miss out on stuff like the galdurr amulet. So, isn't the simplest workaround just to create an "alternate" version of each quest dungeon? Can you just copy it in TES Edit and remove all the quest tags, and use that version for this mod? Sorry if you already / someone already proposes that, I'm not quite finished the video yet. This is a very, very interesting project though. I'm excited to see where it goes!

I'm honestly not sure. I don't think so? Maybe? It depends on the experience I'm looking for. Both have positives and negatives. Permadeath is a bit too extreme when crawling dungeons mainly because you don't have many outs in a bad spot.

I think vanilla Skyrim dungeons don't lend themselves too well towards it, roguelikes in my opinion work best when the full run is relatively short, the time investment to clear vanilla Skyrim dungeons is quite high@@DietJoov
