DIETZ NO. 2 D-LITE lantern restoration

this old 1937 yard sale find was a fun project. and 100 times easier than the last D-LITE project i had. you'll see what i mean in the video lol.

I just finished a 1936 No.2 D-Lite that has "WPA" printed in paint on the bottom. Burns nicely, and one of my favorites.

I have 2 D lites any ideas on what year they made them?

there should be a build date on the right air tube, on the filler cap side. you would see a list of 3 or 4 patent numbers. the numbers at bottom of list will be the build date. it will read like "S-4-45" the S means Syracuse factory, the 4 would be the month, and the last number would be the year. sometimes thick paint makes the numbers hard to read. thanks for watching.
