I think using a 14 volts battery in ur 12 volts car should work good at keeping high voltage a alt charging at 14.4 will charge a 14 volt battery just fine . I can't wait to try.

So wait.... your running the jp 83's at 16-16.5 volts ?

NO. He's running them at 48volts. You divide the common voltage then multiply by 4. Basic ohms law.

Put a external regulator on a factory alt that. Charges at 14.4 u can use a regulator and make it alt charge around 15 16 volts

I'm running 14.6 volt on a Jp 23v2 with the big 3 set up with all 0 gauge wire and stock altanater and my voltage never falls off.

I'm about to upgrade from the jp8v2 to a jp23v2, and upgrade my "kinetic energy" 1200watts rms extra battery to a XSPower 3400 I have all 0ga and my voltage drops a little at 2000watts (I can get that much bc I'm running 3 12's at .67 ohms.) So I'm going to install a big 3 kit as well now thanks to your comment, thanks bro!!

My regulator got tampered with and my voltage jumped to 16.3 which had my truck going crazy. For 99-06 models Mac I'd go is 15.8 on the truck, even then you may still blow some lights. Never had a problem at 15.6 though.

Engine off 12 volts system is loud but I know when running and charging at 14volts amps are happier and don't have to work as hard. Hard to tell if 14 is louder than 12

You need 10ish decibels to hear a difference in sound. It’s likely a couple decibels but you won’t hear a difference in a 1-2 db change.

14 is most definitely more powerful than 12 volts. U could gain as much as 1k watts
