What I remember : 6th Gen = Full stealth/agility with internal weapons and Supercruise capacity, integrated avionics, and full sensors fusion from the 5th gen. Plus : modular design, Adaptive Cycle Engine, Ai controlled missions with deep-learning, swarming tech for drones, complete battlefield datas fusion for cooperative engagement capabilities, iR directed energy weapons, LASER communication systems, full interface with ergonomics around the pilot, and able to be flown unmanned...

@massimoancillai6079 ай бұрын
it should be interesting a comparison between all generations 😊

6th gen jet : Modularity(Horizontal stabilizers can be attached easily if the mission involves dogfighting scenarios, can be removed if the mission requires more speed and stealth), better RAM and SSD(AI onboard will possess more processing power and if pilot was absent the plane can be flown unmanned), Directed energy weapons(For shooting down incoming missiles)

Thats been integrated in 5th gen Su57.. and even 4.5gen Rafale too is working on it.. u dont need 6th gen to make these basic software changes..

The only thing F-35 exhibit is staggering maintenance cost and constant engine failures. It is less maneuverable than dedicated interceptors and not even close to F-22/Su-57
@Nalothisal9 ай бұрын
Yeah, but the 35 was designed to fill a more multirole set of requirements that don't need the air superiority designs of the F22. The whole purpose of that design is closer to that of the F-16 and F-15 Strike Eagle (which is an F-15 variant designed for air to ground operations). The most of what 35 is going to be doing is largely stealthy air to ground combat missions, but in a pinch could do some dogfighting. But with how insane the sensors are on that thing and the vast range the missiles it carries have, it's a real shame there won't be any dogfighting, when the enemy aircraft gets smacked out of the sky from 300 miles away by the Lightning II and its many, many buddies.

a swarm of drones with the capacity of current fighters is the next step in air superiority. Logistics and their support as well.
@Nerdy4Life4 ай бұрын
Probably, but it looks like the will be using a 6th gen fighter to control them and act as an extra missile truck. Calling them a fighter is probably inaccurate at that point but yeah.

@@Nerdy4Life The development of land, air and sea weapons is moving towards independent units that will be able to perform basic tasks without human intervention. There are no distractions because the goals are predetermined. The units know no emotions, hunger, thirst, no fatigue, no sleep...only a program that they will execute relentlessly and precisely 100%. There is no human unit on the planet that can match them.

@@robertstimac2428 True but Ukraine has shown drones are vulnerable to electronic warfare and being hacked by opponents. Whilst the tech is improving at pace they still work best with humans in the mix, if mostly as the decision maker/air controller rather than pilot.

Why F-35 in fifth generation? As I know he can't fly more 1 M for long time?
@m.gilangwiradhan99819 ай бұрын
well, maybe a little to produce plane, why not using superweapon type like in ace combat game if you can only produce 1 or 2, the cost to mass produce is really not good
@robertstimac24289 ай бұрын
rather, it is about the development of weapons and the capacities of the country that initiates them. The Japanese were stopped by a new weapon that only the USA had. and now only a new type of weapon can stop the other side.....hope it's the western world like in WW2....
@DirkDiggler-qp3vm8 ай бұрын
The Americans are the only one with a sixth gen fighter that has flown over a year ago. Russia won’t be around to build one nor could it afford or even be capable with sanctions..

Among all generations of fighter jets, the 5th is the worst from every aspect by far. The costliest in development, production and maintenance by large margin (with inflation corrected prices), The longest R&D phase with continuous delays taking decades from start until 1st serially produced aircraft is rolled out. And finally the least remarkable service record, the F22 has been in service for 18 years and it's only achievement is shooting down a balloon!

All these super expensive systems as well as the air frame itself but still flown by pilots with the same IQs and physical capabilities. G-suits for these airplanes still only kinda work on the body but not the pilot's heead. Then that AI - which is basically programmed by humans. All this begs the questions of who will build and maintain these aircraft as this is not a Star Wars movie saga. Even more interesting, who will pay for them besides our overtaxed ... tax base.

Let's be honest here the f-35 has turned out to be the most overpriced , overhyped pieces of wank ever. It couldn't even super cruise so the USA conveniently dropped super cruise from 5th gen requirements !? Literally expensive horseshit with wings 👎
