May I add one thought here? The biggest problem I see with most followers of religion is that of judgment. Judging others is far easier than looking inward at what we ourselves need to work on. If that one issue were to be addressed more by the leaders and followers of the various religions, this world would be a happier place. Thank you for this and all of your videos. Sat Nam.

God is Pure Love and Sacrifice ;can be reached by following different paths, and that is what we call " religion". After you reach the Goal of Realization, path remains behind.(Guru Nanak ; Japuji Sahib) The Saints say all the rigors and contours in the landscape of Spirituality are formed whilst on Path; If you get astray , then what happens !!! - You would waste energy in murky squabbles as all world is doing these days.

have been doing some research to learn about the religion- and I have got to say... This has to be one of the most progressive and accepting religions I have ever seen. It is clear, when people decide to practice the religion there is an extreme level of discipline. The concept that people can have other theologies and that being OK is really powerful! Not to mention it seems like certain demographics (women, gays, etc...) are considered absolute equals and treated as such is just wonderful. It is refreshing to see this kind of thing now adays.

As a Buddhist, I also shy away from the word "religion." It's a way of life.
@danielowens66637 жыл бұрын
All religions should be a way of life and for those who are truly devout such is the case.

Question for all Sikh's. Do you follow the Qur'an's teaching's? Serious question. I'm just interested in world religion's these day's. Any truth will help.Thanks.
@gurpreetdhindsa41787 жыл бұрын
We only follow Guru Granth Sahib's teachings in letter and spirit - the reason being very serious ,immaculate and profane. If you misinterpret. the you are already off the mark; and would waste energy in murky squibbles as all world is doing these days.
@sihaansingh417 жыл бұрын
We only follow Guru Granth Sahib Ji. But, many teachings of the Quran and Guru Granth Sahib Ji are same, like worshiping one god, be humble.

I have read some suras of the Qur'an and Angs of Guru Granth Sahib Ji but have not completed scholarship of both. I think Simran and facing God in every moment are highest, then serving the world, and lastly scholarship of all of the major religious texts and philosophical treatises, in that order. "Truth is high, but higher still is Truthful living."
