The fact is all wars between India and Pakistan were stalemates. (Except 1971, which was a Pak civil war and India took advantage.) These stalemates in spite of numerical superiority of India. So neither India nor Pakistan have much to brag about. That being said, there is no real animosity or reasons to fight; culturally , linguistically and ethnically people are same. If they can come over religious differences, they should be able to live in peace. Kashmir is a solvable dispute. However, Hindutva for its internal political reasons, finds it politically expedient to keep disputes and animosities fresh. So Indians need to sort this out internally. Last 77 years history tells us neither country can defeat the other.

I like to hear criticism from real soldiers because they tell you stories about their own kind of people on both sides of the border unlike civilians and politicians who spice up and always talk like Bollywood movies and are good at nothing but war mongering. Both the Indian and Pakistani armies have so much of commonality that they understand each other well and when they are outside of India they behave with respect with each other despite their occupational differences.
