Learn the difference between L1, L2 and L3 cache.
They are the difference levels of CPU cache memory, which is stored as SRAM. Since SRAM comes in small sizes,
CPU cache memory is stored as level 1, level 2 and level 3 cache so that it can be used as resourcefully as possible.
L1 Cache is the smallest, but it is the fastest of them all. It is the closest to the processor.
L2 Cache is larger than L1 cache, but it is not as fast.
L3 Cache is larger than L2 cache, and it is not as fast as L2 cache.
L4 Cache. The hierarchical concept is the same. This level of cache is rare, and is not found in most systems.
CPU cache is much faster than regular DRAM, which is why it used to reduce bottleneck between the CPU and DRAM.
