If we connect the neutral wore with earthing wire, then tbe earth wire will also acts as neutral. Therefore it wil not provide protection against fault curent*(short circuit current - over load current). And the person may get fatal shock and the equipmemt will also get damaged. That't why we should not connect the neutral wire with earth.

Sir , Correct me if I'm wrong _______ If N (neutral) & E (earthing) are connected together, then 1.) current will flow thru body of equipment even at normal condition 2.) Due to addition of resistance of TL conductors in earth wire , earthing resistance will ↑ , hence if we touch the metal body of equipment , risk of current flow thru our body will ↑

Eathing is used for the protection of and person from getting faal shock under fault condition. Under normal condition the curremt flow through the circuit but under fault condition*(internal damage to winding or insulation failure) the fault current will flow through the meatal body. But if earthing is done then this fault current will flow through the ground and the person can be save.. And NEUTRAL is used for return path as u told in video. It can be made by making a common point.*(star connection).
