4:23 Don't refer to it as VRAM; the term VRAM specifically refers to memory used in GPUs

*RAM itself can't access or retrieve from disk, the CPU only can access the disk and load into RAM. *RAM is named because the memory positions in RAM can be accessed randomly by the CPU.

Your explanation of RAM is inaccurate. The term 'random' in RAM refers to the way data is accessed within the memory. Traditional storage devices like floppy disks, CDs, and hard drives typically employ sequential access. This means data can only be read or written in the order it was stored. For instance, to access data at the end of a file on a hard drive, the system must first read all the preceding data. In contrast, RAM allows for random access. This means any data location within the memory can be accessed directly and immediately, regardless of its physical position. This capability significantly enhances data retrieval speed and efficiency. Due to its random access nature, RAM is ideally suited for feeding data to the CPU, GPU, or APU, which require rapid and flexible information access for processing.
