Wow Sam! l'm surprised to know this unexpected expression "to be anal about something". I swear that l never heard it before but l googled it and it seems to be quite a popular expression in the English language. Thanks for constantly enriching my English vocabulary 👍

Brilliant!!! I'm glad it's worked its magic as that's exactly why I put it there! I don't think many people know it but we use it a lot and I wanted to share it with you all 😊 so thanks for mentioning it!

I have to say, i never really thought much about it. English is not my first lang. I just use the words depending on my "gut feeling" xD For me expecting feels and sounds more like a "demand" (like you said a fact). Why i use anticipate instead of expect.. i can't tell you, bec. i don't think about it i just feel it. Does it sound weird?

It's not weird at all and being able to speak based on a gut feeling usually means you speak a language very well. However, every now and then it's worth checking the correctness of what you say because your gut feeling may sometimes be based on wrong information. But if that is mit the case, that's brilliant!

I wish you had also mentioned "predict" in this video.

I am sure you can anticipate most of the comments you receive due to your experience in teaching. By the way, is there a magic bullet to learning the right use of prepositions?; in this comment, I have been fighting to fit one after the word "receive," and I finally decided to place "due to". Thanks in advance.

Prepositions are very tricky in every language, unfortunately. BUT there are indeed some rules and, funnily enough, I've been meaning to make videos on the various usages of each preposition for a while, so hopefully, I'll be bale to clarify all that soon 😉 DUE TO is absolutely fine, so is BECAUSE OF. However, in this sentence I would probably use THANKS TO, as it generally has a more positive connotation. The other two work well and are not mistakes, but they can be more on the neutral/slightly negative side
