It's so much easier to remember things that you can associate with concepts you already know. I really enjoyed your explanation. Slope formula, coinciding points, functions. It's far easier to understand concepts when you see them as a combination of simple parts instead of trying to memorize them in isolation.

I just learned how to apply this and finding derriative and anti derriative in 5 minutes total the internet is a beautiful thing I just learned the fundamentals of calc in 5 minutes watching 2 videos 1 of 1 minute explaining to concepts and 1 of 4 minutes explaining one and I’ve already done practice problems and got the correct answers using this I love youtube

Thank you explaining where the difference quotient comes from. I am taking precalc and there was no context given. The math makes sense but the concept didn't have any sense to make of it. This video cleared up my confusion straight in the beginning. Excellent teaching, sir.

For real, WHY IS MATH ALWAYS TAUGHT LIKE THIS???? The teachers across all levels NEVER explain the use for things, they just expect you to know and jump right in. So infuriating, it's like they don't want you to learn. If all teachers spent 5 minutes explaining / visualizing what this stuff is for it would make learning it so much easier.

Is there a limit to how small h can be? I know it can't be zero because a 0 in the denominator would mean undefined but can it be a negative?

Short answer: Yes. Long answer: H =/ 0. In interval notation, you can write the domain as (-infinity, 0)u(0, infinity), meaning that it can be any number (including negatives!) that isn't zero.
