Thank You!!!... I just big chopped again ( can't even count how many). Every time I do a chop, I noticed my hair texture has changed. I was a 4c for sure, but now as i got older and hair thinner, I know my hair now is 4b maybe 4a. Now, I've used the sponge before and had no problems, but this go around..whew chile.. I was working hard trying to get those curls to pop. After buying products..that worked on hair before..I was for sure it would be easy..not. I used curl activator, and the eco flax gel and nothing happened. Curls took long to even form. Now I see I might have to do on dry hair. Wow..who knew. Thanks for video and ideas. I thought it was me. (Btw..My hair is your length)

Ah yes, my hair texture seems to have changed since my last big chop. So glad to have helped! :)

Thank you for this. The other videos I've watched didn't work for me. I'll be trying the dry method when I wake up. I think my curl pattern is more similar to yours. So hopefully it works better.

I have coarse hair. I wonder if less products do better for me . I usually use the Cantu shea butter products and works the best when my hair is damp or wet tbh.

Your hair looks great! I got 3c/4a hair so even though my curls very tight and densely packed, it’s still relatively soft curls with a bit of frizz. Do you think this would work for me?

yo did it work for you? i got the same hair type and im wondering if i restart my hair wld loc up properly w a sponge
@thealisterr Жыл бұрын
It works in different ways for different hair textures. Personally, I guess I could say it “worked” for me, but not the way that I hoped for. 4a hair can still be diverse in what you can do with it though. I thought about getting twists but doing it another way like getting finger coils or comb twists, then doing a twist out so it could hang out.

@@thealisterr do you reckon sponge method wld still be decent enough by itself? i only started it after growing my hair out normally for a year so it was too long for the sponge but even despite that it did more than i was expecting so im thinking it wld be better if i cut it short again
@thealisterr Жыл бұрын
@@ronweasleyop1858 if it’s working for you in the way that you want it, I’d reckon you just keep doing that. The curl sponge didn’t really work for me in terms of defining my curls how I wanted. Maybe it was cuz of my hair texture, or maybe my technique was wrong, idk 🤷🏾♂ My hair was already short at that time, I actually cut it into a mini afro just so I could buy a sponge and try it 🤣 But recently I’ve started doing the finger coil method, left the coils in for a few days, and then doing a twist-out. Mann my twists was looking fresh bro, Crispy and defined af. I still do that, but you should try it too if you don’t like the sponge.

BTW, do you miss the locs/length of your hair when you cut it?
@AidaKiraya6 жыл бұрын
sonicmariodonkeykongzelda86 fan the only time I miss my locs is when I see the way other people who started their journey the same as I did look. Other than that nope. I am enjoying not having to do much with my hair lol
