Boomer’s parents were Greatest Generation-those who fought in WWII, came back, got married and had lots of kids because the nation’s economic prosperity allowed them to. This caused what we call ”The Baby Boom”. Boomers. Got that? The Silent Generation were those too young to be part of the war effort, typically those born in the 30s and early 40s. My parents were born in 1939 and 1942. They are, in fact, cars-carrying members of the Silent Generation. Almost all of my siblings are older Gen-X, born in the mid-60s to early 70s. I am late 70s. We are card-carrying members of Gen-X. I’m guessing you’re either a Zoomer or a young Millenial since you’re too impatient to actually see anything through. This is a fantastic piece of generation “RESPECT”…. So Real, I’m a Baby Boomer (1961)….I NEVER SPOKE BACK OR CHALLENGED MY PARENTS AUTHORITY; I had the utmost respect and appreciation for them. We did not have much growing up, but they taught me and my younger sisters the Important Things in LIFE! Respecting our elders and teachers was foremost; There were no severe issues;I mean we weren’t perfect and that belt came off real quick when we needed reminders. Thanks Mom and Dad for taking the time to raise us as young ladies and to be contributors in society!!!! I miss you both EVERY DAY!

The Silent generation fella always makes me miss my grandpa. ❤ He mostly just wanted to collect stamps and tend to his flower garden. I could participate if I was quiet. But man, if someone persistently got on his nerves enough that he hollered, everyone in a five mile radius better run for the hills!

Whew....my dad...all I would have gotten, on a good day, was his calm monotoned voice: "What did you say?" ... before the "swoosh" of his belt flying off his hip like a pistol. Bang bang bang !!! I'm 55. I still don't talk disrespectfully to him.
