I actually had one who searched and poked, finally got in, and then rolled the needle under my vein and tried to go back up into it. (This was not comfortable...at all😖😣) finally, she broke down crying and apologizing, and another phlebotomist had to take over. And she went sobbing to the back room. I didn't have the heart to be upset after that.

Actually o always have to calm the nurse down. They get really upset,nervous and sweaty bc it's so hard to find a vein that works on me. I always have to tell them it is okay and it will work eventually. I do believe they are sorry. I hate it when they poke you and then start searching in all directions-it hurts!
