I ENJOYED THIS. MY SERVICE DOGS WEAR BOOTS, IF WE MUST GO OUT, IN THE HEAT. OUR FAVORITE BOOTS HAVE A LITTLE THING, EXACTLY LIKE A MAKEUP SPONGE, THAT FITS INTO THE BACK OF THEIR PASTERN. IT PREVENTS THE BOOTS FROM SPINNING. MY GUYS LOVE THEM, BECAUSE THEY KEEP THEIR PAWS OFF THE HOT PAVEMENT. SPINNING IS A VERY BAD THING, WITH DOG BOOTS, BECAUSE, THEY HAVE A SOLE. WHEN IT GETS STUCK, ON TOP, THEY CAN TWIST THEIR ANKLES, OR STUMBLE.

If you’re talking about making sure all boots are not too tight then you want to make sure they are firmly in place and don’t move when the horse moves but don’t over pull the elastic when you do them up. You are more likely to overtighten boots with elastic than brushing boots where the straps aren’t elastic. I hope this helps and answers your question ☺️
