Different types of shavettes

4:19 - 6:03 the Grun (made in Germany) shavette is my favorite out of the four presented here in this video tutorial presentation. it's stainless steel also easier to replace & remove split single blades. it glides nice on the face & shaves the whiskers very well!!!

Thank you. I just bought a Dovo Shavette and there are no instructions with it. I was wondering how I was supposed to load the blade into it. This was very helpful.

Nice Video! I have a Dovo Shavette and the Parker SR1. I prefer the Parker SR1 for it's extra weight and it seems to glide better across my skin. I also shave my head with the Parker SR1 and have a hard time doing the same with the Dovo without cutting myself because of how light it is. I think the SR1 has better glide because it has the all steel head without use of a plastic sleeve. I do really like the mechanism of the GRUN shavette that you showed, and I may pick one of those up after I find out how much it weighs. I know now that I like heavier razors as they do help with shaving the back of my head. For anyone wondering: the extra weight helps me by not forcing me to push or pull to shave. I can rest the razor on the back of my head and let gravity do the work.

Also, I should mention that the Parker SR1 is a half blade only and does not take a full length shavette blade. However, it is a very affordable razor. I only spent $19 USD on mine brand new.

I have 7 plus years of experience using a Parker Shavette and did try one of the longer ones, caution their for shaving your neck after a haircut. Way to light no feel at all and skip easily I was able to use once but not a good shave. The heavier the better with Shavettes.

I think the Bluebeard can be quite awkward. I thought it was because mine was new, but watching this vid and like you said it appears to be the most awkward out the bunch. great shave though.
