@@Joshua-yc9cv Like all the gameplay elements implemented into Unleashed are implemented perfectly. It just doesn't match up with the style that Sonic had held previously, (and even afterwards). But the Werehog, the level environments, the story, everything was polished as much as possible making it the best game from a technical standpoint. For some people, that's all they could want is just a polished game that looks and sounds great. But trying to define Sonic is literally impossible. Lots of people deny the game simply because the werehog is not Sonic's style. I can agree, but I can't look past the amazing quality of what they put out, whether it fits Sonic or not.

I wonder if there's many fans like me: I love Sonic the Hedgehog and most of his games. I have always enjoyed the characters, story, OST, and level designs. And when there's something badly written as viewed by most fans (like most of Sonic Forces's problems), I either look up the reasoning behind it, make speculations on why it is in terms of in-game sense, or, if I can't find either one, simply ignore it and focus more on the positives. And when fans, good or bad, ask/demand to know why I like something that they don't, I make my stand and answer my reason. But if they're too toxic, or I find fans being toxic to each other, I stay away from them and ignore it. That's MY P.O.V. on Sonic the Hedgehog, anyway. Nice accurate video, btw. XD

Personally, I don’t get the hate for the boost. It’s fun, fast, and it’s action packed with fast part core! I’ve said this so much times before but they should combine the adventure gameplay with the boost to make everyone happy. (I like almost all gameplay styles)

@@p0p525 That would be cool, but rush is what started the boost in the first place. And you can occasionally do tricks in unleashed/generations ussaly through the big colorful rings. (Those fill up your boost meter)

But a boost adventure would be pretty darn cool aswell Idk how to blend them but I know its a match in heavens

But the sonic fandom is filled with people that will hate on a game for the same reasons, and use the video game part of the franchise as an excuse to call sonic bad. I never played forces but from what I've seen the level design is better than lost world imo. You don't have to play a game to know it's bad, seeing finished gameplay should be enough to tell if it's bad or not. (Unless it's 06 which actually wasn't that bad). And no offense to the 90s/early 2000s sonic fans, but most of these people fall in the genesis or dreamcast era, these type of people only care about the story and if sonic is serious and fast, instead of him being silly and slow. Atleast mario fans can appreciate mario for...mario, they aren't going to hate on mario for one little thing.

Well I was in some Discord servers and had only a conversation about if Sonic and the black knights was a mediocre title or not but we still agree on most of the things actually and no Lost world is clearly the better game. Just because the enemies and mechanics just work and you don't rush the game like in Sonic Forces. I mean the enemies are not even trying in forces to defeat you. Also straight line level design. I personally feel like that it is important to play also the game because you can't just assume that it sucks just because you watched gameplay of it. Well there are a few exceptions but it doesn't apply to most of the Sonic games that I played. For example I thought super mario sunshine was good when I saw gameplay but oh boi when I started playing this game I hated it and that's saying something.

In the og hes impatient and a bit cocky (not in the shitty 2 kool 4 skool way). Hes like,,,,a chill protector of nature or smthg. And the reason why mario doesn't have this divide is... Because the gameplay style never change drastically like sonic! Sonic has so many different gameplay styles and all of them came out close to eachother in very few years. Of course sonic's fandom will be more divided if there's so many playstyles!

Same here. Because I had so much faith this game would have been my favourite of all time. Sadly not so, this game has serious flaws. Still in my top 10 though. Yes, unused potential but I still have a soft spot for forces because I loved forces themes, concepts, settings, and environments. The OST is my favourite in the series and if they had no nostalgia pandering/classic sonic, plus longer levels with a possible fun cinematic focus rather than linearity this genuinely could have a solid game (not necessarily mediocre or okay or amazing, but around colours/generations reception or just a little bit less, maybe on par with Heroes). It’s a shame bad management, less team members and rushed development as always hurt the game, same with 06 which I also liked that game a lot when I was younger (and still do today). I’m really hoping they would do a forces 2 retcon-ish with the well received IDW comics, but Sonic Team always gets rid of something instead of improving on it when something don’t work. At least we got modders!
