I play colbert like the ultimate instinct ship: I don’t actually think about what I’m doing and either wind up with like 40k damage and dead in the first 2 minutes, or with 250k after living the entire game. It’s the most fun I have in this entropy of a game.

I am once again asking you (insert Bernie meme) to consider Fletcher next! It's not fast enough to open water gun boat (and lacks the muzzle velocity), lacks the torp range to be a pure torp boat, and doesn't have short duration British smokes or long duration German hydro, so it's not great in isolation. However, it has good enough torps, good enough guns, long smokes, and great concealment, so it's an excellent team-first DD. I'd love your take on how you play the Fletcher. It's the ultimate blue-collar, workman, and unsexy boat: remarkably reliable and deceptively effective.

I really like the wows legends version of the Colbert. With 32mm plating everywhere you can just run around open water and shoot like a menace. If you build for agility and speed, you max out at around 45 knots and 3-4s ruder shift time lmao. Oh yeah you can also have 4 heals who reload quickly

Hey can I recommend a new series when we finish one takes? Or maybe a spin on one takes. Kind of like a “what’s the grind like” series. Where you have clips discussing each ship in the grind and the pros and cons working up the tech tree. I know it seems pretty involved. But I’m sure there are some that could benefit from your insight. You mention in some videos how progressing through the grind of specific ships can be painful. This would just be a way to illustrate it. Just an idea. Like the content. Thanks for what you do.

He wont make a video about it and there is a good reason for that, Ravenna was a test bed for Venezia's unique upgrade. That means it was a clone of Venezia, no point in showing that + it would be a breach of NDA to show a test ship.

Play the Seattle next with the stock hull. I don't know why, but this ship was so tanky while kiting and the dpm is very decent for a t9

my problem with the seattle has been the turret angles, you have to show a lot of side to get all of them off, and the maneuverability isn't great

@@twinkyoctopus That is my point : Somehow the foward turret has a 30° angle on the stock hull. With a 50mm deck it's pretty tanky for a light cruiser at ranges above 10km

Just play grozo as a full gun build and you can have great games 125k avg+ if competent player

Groz is fine in the current meta. it has the range, ballistics, smoke, and decent AA to survive in this passive meta. If kleber, Daring, and Sheman didn't exist I would say it's a very viable pick. Hell even compared to those i'd say it isn't a bad choice.

What is ouf of meta? Just go to cap, pop hydro + smoke and kill other DD. Z-52 is easy to play. If they have radar just use island as cover.

@Vítězslav Lorenc Z-52 is not easy to play. It has one of the worst tier 10 DD HE DPM in the game and it's torps are not good either. You are large and also don't have a heal and your smoke is nothing to be proud of either. The only thing Z-52 has going for it is being good at catching exclusively idiots off guard because they don't know how to stay 6km away. In this passive meta Z-52 is fodder

Please showcase Omaha! Some people were telling me that the gameplay is just that of a light cruiser, and how you just sit behind islands and farm, and while most of the time that is true, it is surprisingly (for me at least,) a great brawler. So to those who were knocking me for requesting Omaha, watch PQ's Colbert gameplay. It is the most stereotypical light cruiser gameplay that there is. Omaha at least has torpedos, and can brawl. Please showcase her.

sadly you didn't get to charge a dd sitting in his smoke with your hydro up. The Colbert has the highest base dpm in the game, and can technically kill 3 dds by the time a shimakaze can do 3 salvos of their guns.

If you are going to go for the Colbert you need to understand something first, i have it and this has nothing to do with you or the ship, what kind of teams do you get, getting pushed and have your team dead means you get shut down, having everyone (your team and enemy team) run away all the time is boring in the Colbert, dds dead a lot so you have no spotting, that is boring to, having planes spot you all the time means bbs will even try to cross map you because everyone wants to kill a Colbert. On the EU sever in 2023, 80% of games not ever close to being good for the Colbert to do well, most of the time you will do nothing and end up having to come out against more ships than you can handle.

Potato, yes this is a way of playing a reserved Colbert. That said I feel with this build and the way you are playing is a waste of the true potential of the boat. Run stock range, reload, heavy HE, demo expert, engine boost mod, and 5th mod rudder, top gun, get in close use your islands and just daka.

Love your videos PQ but I wonder if the content creators like yourself realize that giving the advice you did at 5:00 "Don't push into enemy spawn, wait for them to push into you." really promotes passive gameplay? People listen to advices and try to mimic the gameplay they see on KZbin. It's unfortunate that many content creators also complain about passive gameplay when they partially caused it.

Avoid range mode on her. Base range of 13,8 on is more than enough, just use covers wisely and you can shoot other ships from cover while spotting bbs on 15+ km and not getting detected while firing. It takes some time to learn it but thanks to that you can play more aggressive 🫡
