Difficult conversations are hard ‐ knowing the right words to use to defuse inevitable tensions makes
them easier.
Words matter more now than ever. Globally and locally, our lives, societies and universe are directly impacted by the words that we use at every point when connecting and communicating with one another.
Whether the communication is verbal via face‐to‐face/or on the phone, or electronic via email and social media, society is becoming more and more careless about word choice. This carelessness leads to hurtful, demoralizing and at times tragically devastating consequences. Words matter and everyone needs to know how. Joy Baldridge is a renown self‐management expert who helps the best companies in the world become even
better at increasing revenue and productivity while decreasing stress and frustration. She began her
speaking and training career at birth. She was born into a family of driven entrepreneurs and dynamic
educators. Her parents founded the Baldridge Learning Center in 1956. Her first official speaking
engagement was at the White House, at the age of 19. She got there by cold calling the president.
In 1992, Joy founded Baldridge Seminars International, a professional development organization that
focuses on management, leadership, sales, communication and priority management skill development.
In her seminar and keynote presentations Joy shares innovative ways to adapt to change while
increasing revenue, productivity and profitability. Her keynote presentations and seminars are highly
entertaining, extremely informative and completely customized. They are known for producing
immediate, positive, and tangible results. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

She definitely has a unique way of presentation! Her messages and philosophy are very profound, yet they are delivered in a kindergarten fashion which makes it surprisingly easy to understand and remember. Great presenter!

Yeah, it seemed cheesy - but it grew on me too. And as long as I let the other people I send to it know hopefully they'll get past that also.

Helpful (keep asking what uou want till you say yes) 4. @JoyBaldridge

Hi Jennifer, Thanks for your comment. If you think you are all 4 types you may be chameleon. Which makes you very flexible and adaptable. Are you sure you like to be AMAZING, WIN, BE RIGHT and HELPFUL? Is there any one you are less enthused about? Sometimes it's easier to tell what you are by what you are not.
